Susanne Aartun Sundfør (b. 1986-) is a popular Norwegian singer-songwriter.
Biography

Music
A master of both jazz and classical music, she has adopted a powerful hybrid, combining elements of both. Although new on the Norwegian popular music scene, she is already well known, and often compared to internationally acclaimed musicians like Joni Mitchell and Carole King. From these she draw upon great inspiration, as from Jeff Buckley, Radka Toneff, Ane Brun and Thomas Dybhahl.
Lyrics
Her songs are mostly about personal experiences (eg 'Africa, America', 'Time out, time', 'It's all gone tomorrow'), while others are more scoiety-oriented (eg 'Opium'). The idea and conflicting Illusions and disillusions is a haunting theme in her lyrics.
