Note From Infrogmation

 • I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian. ...And I'm wondering from the articles you've edited...Are you a fellow New Orleanian? Either way, welcome. -- Infrogmation 04:05, 23 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Adina Howard

One thing that seems to be wrong, is describing Adina's song and image as "hyper-sexual". And not many people would be interested in knowing that "Howard appeared in a music video wearing a leather bra and hot pants combination" -- not that that matters.I take it back. I've deleted your article, and replaced it with a redirect to triangulation. -- user:zanimum

Sorry... I put in information which was found to be accurate at the time. Even allmusic.com says the info is correct. You can nominate that page for deletion if you want, but I do not submit false information, ever. --Beau99 08:00, 2 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Spongebob Vfd

The code you are using on VfD makes a subpage on votes for deletion that is included in the page were you put the code. To make this work however, you need to actually create this subpage every time you write that code - don't forget the subheading. Or you could get rid of these links and just link to all these stubs with square brackets like this in the entry of Doodle bob that is already working. Feel free to contact me if this still doesn't help. Mgm|(talk) 21:16, Nov 6, 2004 (UTC)

vfd

Hi, I saw you've spent time on Wikipedia and have experience with vfd. such as the vfd on 867-5309/Jenny. Can you please vote on another song on vfd? Wikipedia:Votes for deletion/La La. Cheers. .:. 18:55, 1 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Unverified images

Hi! Thanks for uploading the following image:

I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GNU Free Documentation License, fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know at my talk page where you got the images and I'll tag them for you. Thanks so much. Peter O. (Talk, automation script) 07:24, Dec 10, 2004 (UTC)

P.S. You can help tag other images at User:Yann/Untagged_Images. Thanks again.

Pay Attention to Footnotes/Edit Summaries

There is a reason for the edit summary page. You just edited my text dump into The Beekeeper as "nonsense" when a quick glance at my edit summary would have clarified that I had dumped research text into the article temporarily and that the complete article would be readied in five minutes (as it is now.) Very frustrating. Pacian 03:37, 19 Dec 2004 (UTC)

Please use preview for works in progress, or if that isn't possible, create new pages as subpages of your user page, and move them to the main namespace when done. For large and existing pages using inuse can be used, but use sparingly. &#0xfeff; --fvw* 03:40, 2004 Dec 19 (UTC)

Hi, Pacian.

I spent a while sleuthing down the source of this image yesterday, but couldn't find the photographer's name. As far as I can tell, it's from the March 2000 edition of i-D magazine [1] (note: the original of the picture you uploaded is in colour [2]).

If you have a verifiable disclaimer from the photograph's copyright holder declaring that the image is in the public domain, or that it can be distributed under the GFDL, then please share. Until then, I plan to keep the unverified notice in place (unless I can "i-d" the photographer, in which case it will graduate to imagevio :-)

I should add: I glanced at a few other images you uploaded. They all seem to be unverified lifts from Google Images (e.g. [3]), rather than valid fair use or public domain images. Either way, one (or both) of us should tag them properly.

Julie Brown

Hey Pacian: Pleasure to meet you! Im a feminist too and bisexual.

About the Julie Brown article, I put explecite only because wikipedia can be read by children, and, Ill tell you, most question my morals but I love children. I hope you can understand that.

I would put the word she said right away, problem is.....I saw that show such a long time ago I dont remember what she said anymore. Probably she said bitch, but, I guess I'll have to watch it again, you know, I wouldnt want Paris to get on our case, as like "I never said that...!"

Happy new year!!

Thank you and God bless you! (I hope putting God here doesnt offend you, thats my trademark sign and is also a sign of well-wishing to you)

Sincerely yours, "Antonio Entirely Different Martin'

Fiona Apple

Well, given that there was an edit war, and the inherently controversial topic, it would be helpful if you could provide a reference, perhaps quoting comments by the director or by Apple (but with the full context of those comments, rather than taking them out of context). -- Curps 16:54, 18 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Thank you for making that page!! I had been meaning to do so for a while (check my home node). I think you are missing that he has done a lot of Broadway performances. If you'd like to do some quick google research, that'd be excellent and flesh the article out even more. I suspect somebody may come along and VfD it out of homophobia or whatever. Only one page really links to it. I'm a huge (hetero) fan in the same way one can be a fan of jerkcity. Anyways, I think he is a "comedian" first, and a "gay pimp" second. Clearing that up for the article would be excellent. I can do the research too if you like. Avriette 05:46, 10 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Noticeboard

Hello. We now have a sparkling new Wikipedia:LGBT notice board. Check it out, if you're interested, and feel free to contribute, if you like. Jonathunder 15:24, 2005 May 8 (UTC)

I've just come from Talk:Spice Girls, where something odd happened. I couldn't see your comment, so I went into the page History, and found that it said that I'd reverted you. I hadn't, but your edit wasn't in the History. i left a message, but when I went back into the history, you edit had reappeared, so I've retrieved and re-added it. I've no idea what happened, but sorry anyway. Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 14:09, 23 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Desperate Housewives

And oh yeah, I think this is more of a case of your enlarged ego being deflated. Get a life, I have seen this so many times before on Wikipedia. If you do not want your writing to be edited mercilessly and redistributed at will, do not submit it. - taken from the bottom of all Wikipedia edit pages. --Speedway 15:41, May 23, 2005 (UTC)

Okay, I really would love to know what foul language I wrote that made you so offended. Considering you call yourself a 'neo-pagan', I wouldn't really think that 'goddamn' would offend you so much. I also find it hard to have a civilised conversation with someone who looks down on me in a patronising and completely condescending manner, because of my age. Wikipedia isn't for you, maybe you should try being a prison guard or something. Have a great day! --Speedway 18:39, May 23, 2005 (UTC)

Cindy Crawford - "excessive" images???

Hey! NO QUANTITY of Cindy Crawford images can be fairly described as "excessive". However, I realize your server's disk space is finite. :b Wahkeenah 03:04, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Now, that's not a very nice thing for a feminist to say about a woman.  :) OK, so what woman do you think does look good? FYI, I'm a straight guy who likes "Will & Grace" and digs Megan Mullally. Or do you consider "Will & Grace" to be to gays what "Amos & Andy" was to African-Americans?  :) Wahkeenah 10:52, 25 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, I must admit that I found fellow-Illinosian Cindy Crawford more engaging than facially attractive, so in her case what's inside does matter. You could maybe say "What a horsefaced skank... not that there's anything wrong with that!" I concur on Megan Mullally. I have not really been impressed by much of anything else I have seen her do, so I hope she has saved her money. And your other comments are also on the mark. Most everything on TV is about surface, in any case, so "Will & Grace" would be par for the course. Of the two main characters, Will would be considered "straight-acting", I suppose, which is not much of a stretch for Eric McCormack since he actually is straight. There is a tendency for minorities of any kind to bemoan how they are portrayed on TV, but straight WASP males get bashed as much as anyone. The recently-ended and much-ballyhooed "Everybody Loves Raymond" starred a character who was a boorish and selfish jerk much of the time. However, like "Will & Grace", it was funny, which was the main objective. In contrast, sometimes there are shows featuring boring groups of straight people, that do get ratings, by some miracle. Maybe boring groups of gay people is an idea worth trying, at least. :) Wahkeenah 02:54, 26 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Steve caton (Small).jpg. Its copyright status is unclear, so it may have to be deleted. Please leave a note on the image page about the source of the image. Thank you.

The licence on Image:FindMe.jpg seems very unlikely. Could you double check if it's correct? --W(t) 11:24, 2005 Jun 6 (UTC)

Perhaps not; what is the correct tag for a book cover? I know that they are permitted under general distribution (similar to an album cover...)Pacian 11:29, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)
You probably mean "Fair use", but keep in mind that that will restrict its use to articles on the book or on its author, for the most part. --W(t) 11:31, 2005 Jun 6 (UTC)

Hi! Can you explain why this article is a candidate for speedy deletion. Thanks, JeremyA 23:37, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Please calm down—I saw a speedy deletion tag on an article for which I could see no reason for speedy deletion. In such circumstances the simplest thing to do is to contact the user who placed the tag to ask for the reason, and this is what I did. In the meantime, because I was therefore in the process of dealing with the speedy deletion request, I removed the tag. I believe that this was entirely appropriate behaviour. Yes, I was remiss in not studying the talk page for the article but with a large number of speedy request to get through things get missed, and for that I apologise. However I would appreciate you responding to my entirely civil request in a civil manner. Thank you, JeremyA 02:41, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
BTW. The page should not be deleted, in this sort of situation the appropriate action is to merge any information from haunted to Haunted_(album) that is not there already and then redirect the Haunted page. If you don't know how to make a redirect I can assist you.
To use your analogy: If I were a librarian who found a book in the wrong place, but didn't know where it should go, you are correct, I wouldn't throw it on the floor—I would take it with me and find someone who did know. In this case the most obvious someone being you. Removing the speedy tag stopped another admin wasting time investigating something that I was already investigating. You would be advised that admins are more likely to be willing to help you in the future if you refrain from calling them idiots and flying of the handle at them.
A disambiguation page for Haunted would be a good idea. However, a redirect will suffice until you, or someone else, decides to make it. To redirect, simply replace the entire content of the page with: #REDIRECT Haunted_%28album%29 JeremyA 03:00, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Thank you for your last message to me... and you're welcome. JeremyA 03:19, 22 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Merged your article with an already existing one

Hi, I merged most of the content you created in "The WB's Superstar USA" with an article on the same subject located Superstar USA, which existed since 2004. Most of your writing was preserved.

Vandalism of Anne Rice

I admit that I forgot to log in, but what vandalism are you referring to exactly? I have never vandalised an article in my life. Don't go around altering people's contributions and assuming it is vandalism if you have no bloody clue what you're talking about. RE: "Anne Rice" and "Poppy Z Brite" changes (which I was about to correct anyhow.) Pacian 22:24, 1 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I know that you are trying to do your best to protect wikipedia and make sure things are up to speed, but I IMPLORE you to please take a moment to make sure that what you're doing is correct. We had a conflict before RE: my un-logged-in edits to Anne Rice. I now see that you also reverted edits that I made (again while not logged in) to the article at Lee Eddy; this was a minor correction to the title of her online blog which is not "House of Enjoyment" but "Place of Enjoyment." Had you taken a very brief moment to click on the link to her blog listed within the very text of the article you would have seen that the correction was accurate as reflected in the heading of the blog in question, but you jumped the gun and made an incorrect revert. I'm glad you're trying to do a good job, but please, don't risk accuracy in order to stay one jump ahead of the breadline. Thanks! Pacian 08:04, 11 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

 • Thank you Pacian for contacting me. If you don't mind, please provide diffs for the edits and rollbacks you are referring to so we are on the same page. As you are aware, accuracy and the integrity of Wikipedia is a major concern of mine and I would like to research this further if an error was made to prevent any reoccurance in the future. While on the subject of Anne Rice, I posted a message on the discussion page (Talk:Anne_Rice#Rice_home_damaged_by_Hurricane_Katrina?) but no one responded. Were you ever able to locate a credible source for your earlier edits regarding the effects of Hurricane Katrina on Rice's home? Hall Monitor 16:20, 12 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]
 • After reviewing Special:Contributions/69.3.198.42 I see now what happened. These edits appeared suspicious and were reverted accordingly, I apologise for missing the Lee Eddy detail. Please also take notice that I later went through the trouble of providing actual sources for the Poppy Z. Brite article as well. When you are not logged in, please make a diligent effort to provide sources whenever possible and try to make use of the edit summary as well, this will greatly minimise the possibility of this happening again. Hall Monitor 21:53, 12 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

When I read your message, I went back to the article's history, expecting to find that I'd reverted a host of edits — I found one sentence, and my edit summary explained clearly why I removed it. I've removed it again. Wikipedia guidelines: Wikipedia:Cite sources, Wikipedia:Weasel words. --Mel Etitis (Μελ Ετητης) 21:36, 25 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Pacian, this guy is a Vandal, from the dark forrests of barbarian Europe. You cannot reason with him. You're not his first victim. A fellow and I have decided to file a complain against him. You may join our cause, if you wish to.

Together, you may have a chance, Pacian. Think about it.
