A form of government established under a constitution, having a monarch, normally hereditary, as head of state, having everything from extensive to nominal powers. The legislative assembly and the cabinet may or may not be democratically elected. Belgium, Norway, Spain, the United Kingdom, Liechtenstein, Morocco, Nepal and Thailand are examples of constitutional monarchies.
