List of common nouns derived from ethnic group names
This is a list of derogatory or mildly insulting terms derived from the names of ethnic or religious groups. These words are not generally used with the same intent as ethnic slurs. Indeed, many people would not wish knowingly to use offensive language. The following words are, therefore, interesting inasmuch as we tend to forget - or may be altogether unaware - that they actually refer to real (albeit historical or archaic) ethnic groups.
