Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi is the successor to Dragon Ball Z: Budokai 3. The game is being developed by Spike and published by Atari and Bandai in the US and Japan respectively. The game will have more then 60 playable heroes and villians. In addition this game will have fully destructible environments. It is known that all characters from previous budokai games will return (including Dodoria, Zarbon, and Android 19 from the first Budokai game). Some of the confirmed new characters are Janemba, Master Roshi, Chaozu, the Oozarus, Bojack, Bebi-Vegeta, Super 17 and the Ginyu Force members Guldo, Burter and Jeice (who were left out in the previous three Budokais, only appearing alongside Recoome and Captain Ginyu in the intro's). In Gamespot's hands on it says there are 90 characters but it could be a mistake since most other sources say that there will be 60 characters in the game.
Name
The english name comes from the Tenkaichi Budokai in the anime. The Budokai comes first to make it relate to the Dragonball Z: Budokai series
The Japaneese name (Dragon Ball Z: Sparking!) comes from the last line of the opening theme, Head-Cha-La, Sparking! The Sparking! support capsules in the Dragon Ball Z: Budokai series also get their name from the same source.
