Byrd Theatre

The Byrd Theatre is a movie theater on Cary Street in Richmond, Virginia. Characterized by its old-fashioned marquee and organ player, the Byrd Theatre draws many students and locals for its $1 movies. The organ player rises from the floor before each Friday night show, announcing the show.

One of the more interesting features found at The Byrd is on many Saturday nights they run "Midnight Movies". These cost $3, and generally start around Midnight or later. The the more frequent films played include "Office Space", "The Dark Side of Oz", and Kevin Smith films such as "Mall Rats"
