I am a Dutch lawyer, involved in politics (member of the bureau of the ELDR and former bureau member of the Dutch liberal democratic party Democrats 66, and the editor of Electionworld.org, a comprehensive database on elections. Since the beginning of 2004 I am involved in Wikipedia in editing articles on liberalism and related issues, on elections and some historical issues. See my last contributions. I am also involved in the Dutch Wikipedia.

My main projects are on Liberalism and on Parties and Elections.

Inside these projects a co-maintian:

Liberalism

Since a lot of discussion is going on, on who is a liberal, what liberalism is etc. and trying to avoid POV, I created connexed to this user page a Liberal lexicon and a page about Political parties and liberalism. I try to make and improve more articles on liberal subjects. You are welcome to add texts to these liberal related stubs.

To do: The Add parties project

This is the calender for the Add parties project. In the upcoming period party files will be added with the purpose to have articles or stubs on all parliamentary and comparable national parties around the world. The project started with the European, American, Australasian and Asian countries and is now under way with the African countries. All these parties will also be included in the Index of political parties. Afghanistan, Congo (Kinshasa), Côte d'Ivoire, Haiti, Kyrgyzstan, Liberia and Somalia are not completely included due the unclear political situation. Bahrain and Iran are not yet included due to a lack of information.
