Angela Moroșanu

Angela Moroşanu (born July 26 1986, Iaşi) is a Romanian sprint athlete and one of the biggest hopes of Romanian sport.

She spent her childhood in Belceşti a village of Romania situated at 40 km from Iaşi where she made the gymnasium.

At the age of 15 she proved to be one of the best runner in local competitions.

Discovered by Belceşti teacher Albu Ştefan, her trainer is now somebody new.

First she competed for sports clubs from Iaşi and Bacău. Now she is a member of Dinamo Bucharest Club.

She finished 8th in the 200m final at the 2006 European Athletics Championships in Gothenburg. She also competed in the 400m hurdles at the same event.

She competed in the 4 x 400m relay team for Romania in the 2004 Olympics. In 2007 she became the European Under 23 Champion in the 400m hurdles with a championship record time. At Beijing 2008 Olympics she made it in the semi finals finishing in 16th place overall in the 400m hurdlers.
