The Children's Channel was an early cable channel which began broadcasting on 1 September 1984 in the United Kingdom. It later moved to the Astra Satellite in 1989. In the early 1990s it was renamed TCC and increased its focus to teenagers, although a large amount of it's programming output were still archive animated shows from the 1980s, many of which were also shown on Sky One. This focus became more prominent and the channel closed down on 3 April 1998, in favour of the more teenage-centered Trouble.

It is largely cited that Jetix (formerly Fox Kids) is the spiritual successor of TCC inspite there being no relation (In terms of companies or shows aired on ether channels) between the two.
