Chris Riley, born August 3, 1982 in Endicott, New York, United States is a U.S. soccer midfielder currently playing for American USL Second Division side Pittsburgh Riverhounds.

Youth

Riley attended Union-Endicott High School, graduating in 2001 along with Jim Johnson (baseball). He was an All State soccer player at Union-Endicott. He then attended Herkimer County Community College where he played soccer in 2001 and 2002. Herkimer went to the national junior college championships both those seasons, losing in the finals each time. Riley then transferred to Wright State University for the 2003 and 2004 seasons.

Professional

In 2004, Riley signed with the Albany Blackwatch Highlanders of the fourth division Premier Development League. On March 11, 2005, he signed with the Charleston Battery of the USL First Division, but never broke into the first team.[1] In 2006, he signed with the Wilmington Hammerheads of the USL Second Division. On April 17, 2008, he signed with the Pittsburgh Riverhounds.[2]

Coaching

In 2005, Riley became an assistant coach with the SUNY Cortland men's soccer team. He continued in that position through at least the 2006 season.[3]

His footballing idol is Ronaldinho and his favourite TV show is The Jamie Foxx Show. He likes to cook, especially his favourite foods, steak and potatoes.[4]
