"Ride" is the second single off of Ace Hood's debut album Gutta. It features Trey Songz, and is produced by The Inkredibles and T-Pain. T-Pain also wrote the chorus. The video was shot on August 1, 2008.
The song was originally titled "Ride or Die", until Def Jam re-named it "Ride" because it was more people friendly.
Music video
DJ Khaled, Johnny Dang, Rick Ross, and Torch & Gunplay from Triple C's make a cameo appearance. This is the first video Trey Songz shows his new look.
The music video features Ace Hood having a good time with his girlfriend until she gets arrested.
The song's music video also debuted at #9 on BET's 106 & Park.
Remix
Rick Ross, T-Pain and Juelz Santana are featured on the remix. It has similar instrumentals to the original, but not quite the same. T-Pain sings the hook on the remix and replaces Trey Songz from the original. Trey Songz sings the hook on the remix on the album, replacing T-Pain. The 2nd Remix has both the new and old verses From Ace Hood and the chorus of both Trey Songz & T-Pain, an a new verse from J-Dollaz , the only diferece is they use Auto Tune vocals.
The remix video was released with the video for "Get Em' Up" on October 28, 2008. The "Ride" video features Trey Songz instead of T-Pain, cameos from DJ Khaled, Akon, Twista, Jim Jones, Busta Rhymes, Jadakiss, DJ Drama, Brisco, Ray J, Shawty Lo, Soulja Boy among many others.
