The columbic force is a force of attraction or repulsion between two objects because of electrical charges.

Two objects with an electrical charge of the same sign (+ with +, or - with -) will repel each other, while two objects with opposite charges (+ and -) will attract.

The physical law which describes the forces involved between charges is commonly referred to as Coulomb's law.
