How long is "indefinite" for my ip address to be blocked? Is it really forever? God I hope not. PopSinger623 (talk) 14:12, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Pretty much forever. You haven't shown any signs of being willing to edit properly, so why would anyone unblock it?—Kww(talk) 14:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
But my cousin and I want to make our articles. We didn't do anything wrong. He tried using his account to make an album and he didn't know what he was doing. We're really sorry if we blanked those pages. We did it because we thought it was funny, and we didn't know what we were thinking. We really would like another chance, and we'll show you that we can be good editors. Can you at least think about it? PopSinger623 (talk) 14:21, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- You were given an offer before, and I'm sure that an admin will still honor it if you comply in good faith. Choose any Wikipedia article, and copy it to your talk page. Then, make a substantial change to that article, showing that you are able to find information from reliable sources, incorporate it into the article, and properly cite that information. Make sure you leave this discussion at the top of your talk page so that people know what's going on. The last time this offer was made, it looked like you started, and then an editor that didn't know what was going on deleted the thing you were going to work on. I'm watching your talk page, so if that happens again, don't panic, I'll put it back for you, even if it takes a few hours for me to notice. But remember, if you include any information about yourself, your cousin, your dog, or anyone or anything that doesn't pass our notability guidelines, it will probably lead to your block remaining permanent.—Kww(talk) 14:37, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- I made one minor change to keep other people from being upset: the images aren't allowed on your talk page, so I removed them from this copy.—Kww(talk) 16:57, 29 November 2008 (UTC)

Best of Hilary Duff is a greatest hits album by Hilary Duff. It is the second "Greatest Hits" album by Duff, and second internationally released compilation album after Most Wanted (2005) It was released in the United States on November 11, 2008 to end Duff's contract with record label Hollywood Records. [1] For unknown reasons, Best Of Hilary Duff was removed from the iTunes store. It is not known if it will be released again.
The first single is "Reach Out", for which Duff has shot a video.[2].
Album information
Initially set for a September 23 release date, the album was then delayed to November 4, 2008, "Best Of" was released on November 11 as part of the "Greatest Hits" day for other stars like Christina Aguilera, and Enrique Iglesias releasing there greatest hits album the same day. The North American edition is notable for excluding Hilary's singles, "Beat of My Heart" and "Our Lips Are Sealed". The latter is included on the Australian and Japanese edition of the album.[3] Duff showed her discontent for the album after saying to MTV that she was only excited about the two new songs. Duff also stated that during her time at Hollywood Records, she didn't have creative control of her music until she made the Most Wanted. She also displayed unsatisfaction toward her label Hollywood Records after saying that they were releasing the album, showing that she had no say in the release. However she then added that she understood their decision[4]. The album will end Duff's five-album contract with the label. According to an interview that she gave on MTV, she has stated that she will begin recording her new album in December of 2008.
Production history
Duff said in September 2007 that a previously unheard song on the Dignity tour's set list, "Reach Out" (which samples Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus"), would be released as a single.[5] In an interview with remix producer Joe Bermudez in November 07, Duff said that Dignity would be re-released in an edition featuring remixes of the original songs alongside two new tracks: "Reach Out" (featuring rapper Prophet) and "Holiday". Duff said she hoped to write a third new song for the re-release, and to have "Holiday" released as its first or second single.[6] Those plans to re-release Dignity were scrapped because of the low sales of Dignity. Since Best of Hilary Duff has been removed from itunes, and because of the low first week sales of the new album, it is very unlikely that there will not be a second single.
Critical reception
Allmusic gave the album a positive review stating that The Best of Hilary Duff "is a flipside of her 2005's Most Wanted", which was "pitched squarely at bright, happy tweens". They also went on to say the album "is not a look back at the past but a blueprint for the future".[7]

Discussion of test
Are we unblocked? PopSinger623 (talk) 17:02, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- No. What change did you make?—Kww(talk) 17:19, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- I found them. Finding them was why you were asked to copy, then change. It makes finding the differences easier. Looks to me like you added an unsourced statement ( According to an interview that she gave on MTV, she has stated that she will begin recording her new album in December of 2008.) and a piece of personal opinion ( Since Best of Hilary Duff has been removed from itunes, and because of the low first week sales of the new album, it is very unlikely that there will not be a second single.). Why do you think those are changes substantial, or that either of them is properly cited?—Kww(talk) 17:29, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
I think it's a good thing to put there because I read on Hilary Duff all the time, and if you look at the section where it says "2007—present, it says that she gave an interview to MTV and she said that she's gonna start recording her next album in December. PopSinger623 (talk) 20:29, 29 November 2008 (UTC) By the way, is there anyway for us to talk besides a talk page? PopSinger623 (talk) 20:29, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Since we are in discussion to try to convince an admin that it's a good idea to unblock you, it's best to talk in public. I see that you added the statement about the MTV interview in 2007. When we talk about things being properly cited, we mean making them easily verifiable, with an exact pointer to someplace that other editors can check to make sure you are telling the truth. When was this interview? On what show? What was the exact wording? Where can I look to verify it?
- As for your other statement about it being ... very unlikely that there will not be another single, what reliable source has expressed that opinion? Did they really use a double negative?—Kww(talk) 20:39, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay I found some more stuff. If you look under the references for Hilary Duff, look at references 82-84. Those three references state that not only is she making a new album in December, but that she's leaving her record label to find a new one. All three references that I've mentioned state that she's leaving Hollywood Records and that she's gonna start recording a new album in December. PopSinger623 (talk) 20:55, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Reference 84 looks pretty good to support your MTV statement, so you should add it to your version here. How about that ... very unlikely that there will not be another single statement?—Kww(talk) 21:09, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay, maybe that statement about the singles was an oppinion, but everything else I said was true. PopSinger623 (talk) 21:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC) And my cousin's talk page is user talk: Hyp3rpimp96 PopSinger623 (talk) 21:14, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- I'll look at your cousin in a bit. Now, the big question. Time after time, you keep creating an article about some album named "Reverse Psychology". It would get marked for deletion, and you would keep erasing the deletion nominations, and, after the deletion finally went through, you would recreated the article. You were told that it was an inappropriate article about 5 times. Same thing with the article "Matthew Orts". When you were being told that the articles were inappropriate, why did you keep recreating them? Can you tell me why they were inappropriate? It's OK to cheat on this one. If you look back in your talk page history, it was explained to you in big, bold, letters many times.—Kww(talk) 21:24, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Okay, the truth is, my real name is Matthew Orts/Matthew Parker. PopSinger623 (talk) 21:35, 29 November 2008 (UTC) I kept creating those articles because I wanted my name to be on wikipedia and I am a singer too. My cousin's name is Gregory, and we made a Matt & Gregory article too. We wanted our articles to be on wikipedia. PopSinger623 (talk) 21:35, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- You didn't answer the question: when you were told you would be blocked if you did it again, why did you do it again? And can you tell me why the articles were inappropriate?—Kww(talk) 21:36, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Because they didn't have references. PopSinger623 (talk) 21:47, 29 November 2008 (UTC) By the way, how do I talk on another talk page besides my own.PopSinger623 (talk) 21:47, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- You can't. That wasn't quite the right answer. If you had references to your MySpace page, would those articles have been OK?—Kww(talk) 21:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
Yes they would've been because those references are true. Those references show my lyrics and they show blog posts. I even wrote copywrite 2008 on my songs so that nobody else could steal them and make them their own. PopSinger623 (talk) 22:30, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- Nope. Take a look at WP:N, WP:MUSIC, and WP:NSONGS. It wouldn't be an acceptable article because it isn't a notable album by a notable artist. That is one thing you absolutely need to understand: if you ever create any of those articles again, add references to them in any other articles, or anything like that, you will get blocked again immediately, and probably forever. Do you understand that?—Kww(talk) 22:42, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
I'd like to discuss this in public, but I don't know how to talk on other talk pages. It won't let me for some reason. PopSinger623 (talk) 22:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC) Is there an irc channel that you talk on or something? PopSinger623 (talk) 22:46, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
- This is public. Anybody on Wikipedia that's interested can see it, and there's a permanent record. Most of the admins that refused to unblock you probably are monitoring the page (it's a holiday weekend in States, though, so many of them aren't watching really closely today). Is there someone in particular you want me to notify of this discussion to make sure they see it?—Kww(talk) 22:52, 29 November 2008 (UTC)
