Tamara Diane Gołębiowska (born October 11, 1972), primarily known by her stage name Isis Gee, is an American pop singer, songwriter, and composer currently residing in Poland. She is most known for representing Poland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2008.
Biography
Isis was born in Seattle, Washington, USA as Tamara Diane Wimer. She featured in two minor jazz albums. She worked in Asia with a jazz trio as background singers for McCoy Tyner (John Coltrane, Stanley Clarke, Bill Evans). After moving to Los Angeles, Isis worked with song writer Steve Dorff. In 2004 she married Adam Gołębiowski and moved to Warsaw, Poland.[1][2]
Her Polish solo career began when she arrived in Poland and released her debut album Hidden Treasure, with Universal Music in 2007.[1] Simon Gogerly assisted and mixed the entire Hidden Treasure album, as well as her latest single "For Life". KK co-produced three tracks on the album, which was Mastered by Tim Young at Metropolis Studios London, England.
In 2007, Isis co-wrote and performed the song "Fate" with German DJ Schiller (Christopher von Deylen). The song was a track on Schiller's album Sensucht which was certified gold in Germany.[3]
In 2007 Isis Gee took part in Dancing with the Stars (Taniec z Gwiazdami) on TVN. Amongst 14 couples, Isis arrived to the quarter final, ranking a top 5 position.
Eurovision Song Contest

Isis Gee's song "For Life" was chosen from among over one hundred songs as one of twelve entries to participate in Piosenka dla Europy, the Polish national final for the 2008 Eurovision Song Contest. During the live broadcast on February 23, 2008, her entry was selected to represent Poland at Eurovision 2008. She was the first Polish participant to qualify to the final of the Eurovision Song Contest from the semi-finals. At the semi-final, Gee qualified for the final receiving 42 points and placing 10th; the top 10 entries qualified for the final.
At the final, "For Life" was awarded 14 points, received from the United Kingdom and Ireland, creating a three way tie for last place with Germany and the United Kingdom.[4] The tie was broken by taking into account the number of 12 points attained, followed by number of 10 points, etc. with Gee eventually placing 24th of 25.
