The Irish Green Party / Comhaontas Glas [1] is a political party in the Republic of Ireland with policies similar to those of international Green Parties.


The party was founded as the Ecology Party of Ireland in 1981. Nationally it has had voting counts totals ranging from 1% to 7% and has succeeded in getting candidates elected at all levels of government (local, Dáil, and European Parliment).
