I haven't finished yet. Whoever you are?!

There's no need to be rude too.

No article is ever finished. My request was hardly rude. RickK 05:06, 28 Jan 2004 (UTC)

You certainly have tact.

Don't worry anonymous user. If RickK checked the edit history of the article (which I guess he didn't) he'd have seen your were working on it. Don't be put off! :-)

Yes I was. Then I had to use the bathroom for couple of minutes. When I came back, the links were already there. I'd figured I just let this guy do the rest since he was so enthusiastic about it.

I guess some people become rather orgasmic when they see a new "stub" article (or whatever you wiki people call it) in progress.

--- For those of you Wikipedians residing in the San Gabriel Valley or Los Angeles region: Is Pico Rivera and/or Whittier considered to be part of the San Gabriel Valley? 172.197.221.54 03:07, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC) S.

I don't live in the SG Valley but I know a bit about the geography of Southern California, and I would say that neither city is in the SG Valley. Pico Rivera is east of East LA and south of the 10, so that would preclude it from being part of the SG Valley. Whittier is on the other side of the hills that ring the south end of the SGV, so I'd say no there too. Moncrief, 06:31, 18 Feb 2004 (UTC)

I see this page didn't make the Featured articles. But thanks anyway for the nomination, Jengod. To hell with the naysayers! :-)

1.7 million Asian Americans in the San Gabriel Valley alone is an impossible figure. There are barely that many people total living in the SG Valley (add up the population of all the communities listed here as being part of the SG Valley and you'll see that). You may be thinking of Los Angeles County or Southern California, but not just the SG Valley. Cite a source or I will delete that sentence. Moncrief, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC)

In fact, I am going to delete it now. According to the 2000 Census, 11.9% of the population of ALL of Los Angeles County (of which the SG Valley is just a part) is Asian American. The total population of Los Angeles County is 9.8 million. Therefore, the total Asian-American population of LA County was approx. 1.16 million. This is ALL of LA County: from the SF Valley to the city of LA to the coastal cities to Beverly Hills to Torrance to all of the communities in the south part of the county. Even assume a growth in population between 2000-2004, there isn't any way that 1.7 million Asian Americans could live in the SG Valley alone. Moncrief

Sigh. There are people that think they know everything. Sad. I'll change it to a percentage instead.
