Jerry Falwell, U.S. Christian televangelist. After the September 11, 2001 Terrorist Attack, he (along with fellow televangelist Pat Robertson) claimed that the attacks were to be blamed on abortionists, gays, lesbians, feminists and other groups. The two were widely condenmned for having made these comments.
