- I don't know about "nice", but if you don't enjoy being blocked then simply don't vandalise. — Matt Crypto 05:32, 4 May 2005 (UTC)
- It's not my fault. This is a shared computer. Can you not block it so everybody who has accounts and logs in gets blocked, just those who use the IP without an account? Because it's not fair if innocent people are blocked because some idiots fool around. --203.173.8.12 04:21, 5 May 2005 (UTC)

A Conversation with Dr Adam Carr
Thanks for your comments. The trouble you seem to be having above with multiple people using your account seems to reinforce my view that this should be stopped. I suggest you create a proper account if you want people to take you seriously. I agree with you that some articles can be edited as events change without controversy, but that doesn't alter my basic point that articles should be stable and complete as much as possible. I don't agree with you about the visibility of Talk pages and edits histories. These make Wikipedia look amateurish and unreliable (as indeed it for the most part is). Adam 05:52, 15 August 2005 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding. I agree Wikipedia is amateurish and reliable; there's no point trying to pretend it's not by hiding not-so-flattering pages. I do actually have an account but I posted without being logged in at a public place, for fear of there being a record of my doings on the public computer. This account is a good record of how membership is needed before posting; I agree with that but still feel your suggestion of an IP-based email is a bit extreme. --203.173.8.12 01:45, 18 August 2005 (UTC) (or rather not)
Blocked Again
You have been temporarily blocked from editing for vandalism of Wikipedia. If you wish to make useful contributions, you are welcome to come back after the block expires. JeremyA (talk) 04:16, 24 August 2005 (UTC)
- It's because somebody wrote on their page that they didn't do any 'grunt work' or reverting or blocking, but then proceeded to revert all our changes, even the user page for this IP, which is ours to edit, not theirs to revert. We edited their page in response, pointing out that they unfairly reverted user pages, and we were blocked. Clearly, the Wikipedia system is completely screwed up and biased. --203.173.8.12 00:13, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- When I added that comment, now removed, to my user page I did not intend to do any more vandal hunting, although I do sometimes dabble. I reverted all of your edits, and deleted all of the articles you created, because they were made in bad faith. Finally: as an anonymous user you are not entitled to a personal user page. As such any edit you make to it is liable to be reversed, particularly when it contains information useful for people fighting vandalism (something which this account is noted for). Rje 00:33, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
- So basically, we're being told what to do by a Wikipedia addict who cannot control their reverting and blocking impulses. Even if the user page for this static IP is not a personal page, the information it currently contains is what I would consider personal information, and those using that IP should have the right to remove that. What was wrong with what it said previously - public account, used by different members of the Wikipedia community? How will copied-from-tracing-service information be of interest to people? --203.173.8.12 00:42, 25 August 2005 (UTC)
- If you are worried about privacy then don't edit from an anonymous account; if you don't want to deal with admins, I am not the only one who dealt with your edits and it was not me that blocked you, then don't perform vandalism. When you make a change to a page which mostly involves adding random characters, and you have recently added numerous nonsense articles, do not be surprised that it will be reverted, especially when you use an account with a prior history of vandalism.
- Clearly, you are some sort of reverting addict, although it's great that you claim to have changed your page so that you don't deny it. In terms of privacy, it's not my personal privacy I'm worried about, the privacy of everyone using this public account (which some may have no choice but to do). --203.173.8.12 06:31, 2 September 2005 (UTC)

- I personally do not understand the information on your user page, but if someone took the time to add it then I assume it must be useful to them; and as this kind of information, albeit not always as complete, is often added to vandal-accounts I assume it must be of some use for those who fight vandals more often than I do. Take it up with whoever put it there. Rje 02:09, August 25, 2005 (UTC)
- The person who put it there was User:Skyring, who has since been blocked for a year, with the block being reset. I think that suggests that they're not exactly the model user with the right to change our user page. --203.173.8.12 00:32, 9 September 2005 (UTC)

- That's stupid. It wasn't our fault, some dumb people just did a bit of blanking, there was nothing malicious this time. Should have been a shorter block. --203.173.8.12 03:07, 19 September 2005 (UTC)
- If others share your computer, then do yourself a favor and create an account and instruct your friends to do the same. ~~~~ 06:38, 20 September 2005 (UTC)
- We're not stupid - those who wish to make proper edits have proper accounts. But, in case you didn't notice, when an IP is blocked, all accounts trying to log in on that IP are blocked too, even if they're an account created beforehand. So when this IP is blocked, all those with accounts on this public computer can't log in. So registered users still suffer because of the blocking policy which works for the whole IP, instead of just for unregistered users. --203.173.8.12 00:04, 21 September 2005 (UTC)

Vandalism in Progress
How come we've been accused of blanking/removing the Vandalism in Progress page? All we did was modify our section, that's it. We didn't touch anything else and we certainly didn't remove it. --203.173.8.12 00:51, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- Moifying [sic]the section which names you as a vandal to balnk out efforts by others is vandalism. Your edits to Government of Australia are inappropriate too - Australia is not a republic.--User:AYArktos | Talk 00:55, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
- That was User:Skyring. --203.173.8.12 04:11, 23 September 2005 (UTC)
This is absolute Bullshit, this IP address is for a school with more than 1000 students, it is clear that Vandalism will occur, however your solution is simply unreasonable, I have been a heavy contributor(and donator) to the wikipedia program, and to find my school's IP address blocked making me unable to login in not a viable solution. The fact that the vast majority of users from this IP address are supportive of the program, banning the IP address whilst avoids vandalism, also stops the positive impact that the other user can make. Please reconsider your action when dealing with this IP address.
- That's the point I tried to make above but it didn't work.
More vandalism
- Welcome to Wikipedia. We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing. However, unconstructive edits are considered vandalism, and if you continue in this manner you may be blocked from editing without further warning. Please stop, and consider improving rather than damaging the hard work of others. Thanks. (regarding Tsunami) -- (☺drini♫|☎) 05:22, 11 October 2005 (UTC)
