This page is a place to list foreign language articles on the English Wikipedia, to see if they can be translated before they are listed on Wikipedia:Votes for deletion. If someone speaks the language the article is written in and can state that it is not worth translating, the item should be moved to VfD. If an article has been listed here for two weeks and is still untranslated, it should be moved to VfD. When moving items to VfD, the boilerplate text on the article should be changed from {{msg:notenglish}} to {{subst:vfd}}.

When listing a page here, you might want to find the Wikipedia:Embassy or Ambassador member of the Wikipedia that relates to the language the article is in and invite them to move the page to their own Wikipedia. If you don't even know what language the article is in you could use Language recognition chart and if that fails some language recognition web site to find out. Please leave a note on this page if you do this to prevent duplication of messages. If you have come here from another Wikipedia, please note on this page what you think should be done with the article.

    • If it's a copyvio, it's almost certain not from the web. The only 3 pages that Google can identify that mention the full titles of both books mentioned here are simply book lists. Even if I leave out subtitles and just go for "Stunde Null" and "Die Herren Journalisten", there are only a handful of pages, and none look like this content. It is very well written, though. Maybe someone posting from his own academic paper, who didn't know that there was a separate German wikipedia? Is there any evidence for copyvio beyond the fact that it is well written? -- Jmabel 20:56, 27 Feb 2004 (UTC)

    • It only has names of books in Hindi.Otherwise, it is in English.I don't think it needs translation.
    • I would agree, this is "legal" as it stands, although it would be more useful with some titles translated. Also could stand some formatting (titles into italics for novels, double quotes for short stories). -- Jmabel 23:59, 2 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • I made an errort to clean the lengthy HTML that was used instead of simpler Wiki. This needs translation to be of any use to an English speaker. Without that translation it should find another home. - Texture 00:16, 3 Mar 2004 (UTC)

    • Translated: German noble, stub article, I guess being nominal Prince of Saxony is (barely) encyclopedia-worthy. I cannot vouch for the accuracy of some of the facts, just the translation. -- Jmabel 23:09, 9 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • How can a MARIA Emanuel be a he and a prince? Perhaps its Emanuel Maria? Muriel 11:52, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)
        • That's really his name. Surprised me at first, too. You can find plenty of references to him on the web in obviously well-researched articles, just do a search. I do not know how that came to be his name, but it is. -- Jmabel 07:05, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
