Current requests

  • Al Gore request for unprotection Anthony DiPierro 03:11, 13 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Sealand has been going crazy with changes/reverts for the last few hours. Could someone please freeze edits? -- Kwekubo 00:24, 13 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Hardy-Ramanujan number request for unprotection Anthony DiPierro 19:41, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Protected by me about 5 minutes before Anthony's request for unprotection. He and Wik each reverted it 19 times _today_ (March 12). Anthony appears to be requesting unprotection because I happened to protect Wik's version--I see no evidence of a discussion that will prevent further reversion. Jwrosenzweig 19:45, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • There is an extensive discussion on 1729 (number). And your statement about my reasoning is incorrect. Anthony DiPierro 19:48, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
        • Perhaps so. I do not see anything on that talk page, however, that convinces me that you and Wik have agreed not to revert the protected page....in fact, I don't see anything that suggests there is consensus regarding what ought to be done with the H-R number page. If another admin disagrees, feel free to unprotect the H-R number page. Jwrosenzweig 19:51, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
          • Of course we haven't agreed not to revert the page. I doubt we ever will. Anthony DiPierro 19:53, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
            • Then rather than revert it infinitely and clutter the page history, the database, and recent changes, I suggest you leave it protected until one or both of you learns that reversion wars solve nothing. Jwrosenzweig 19:55, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
              • Actually, you have to learn that protection solves nothing. --Wik 20:03, Mar 12, 2004 (UTC)
              • Or maybe we could just add a revert button which doesn't clutter the page history, the database, or recent changes. Anthony DiPierro 20:14, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • What would Jesus do? Jesus would unprotect the page. Anthony DiPierro 14:24, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Interesting and uninteresting numbers request to unprotect. Anthony DiPierro 14:23, 12 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Earth in the Balance request to unprotect. Anthony DiPierro 23:49, 10 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Not until the issue is resolved in talk. silsor 23:53, Mar 10, 2004 (UTC)
      • Fine, keep it protected forever. Anthony DiPierro 23:59, 10 Mar 2004 (UTC)
        • The page has only been protected for 15 minutes! When you put your request for unprotection here, you had not even touched the article's talk page, completely ignoring the protection message which asks you to resolve issues in talk. silsor 00:02, Mar 11, 2004 (UTC)
          • There's nothing to talk about. I think it's an ad. Chris doesn't. Anthony DiPierro 00:04, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)
            • It is an ad, but that doesn't mean the page should be unprotected. silsor 00:23, Mar 11, 2004 (UTC)
                • How is providing a link to a site that is very relevant to the topic at hand an ad? It shouldn't matter if it is a partner site, it is a very valuable link for readers. I dare you to find a better page for further reading on the book that the compendium. ChrisDJackson 00:27, 11 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • No, this page will not be unprotected till you stop. Folks, this is just another example of how he continues to be a pest and harasser. He is intentionally removing a link to a compedium to the book Earth in the Balance because it is one of my websites. First he says that I plagarize all the time, then he says I am POV, now he is saying that I am advertising. Can anyone else see that he is obsessed with making my stay here hell? Please someone talk to him! ChrisDJackson 23:55, 10 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Also as another user has pointed out, Anthony lives for edit wars. Just look, he has caused the Al Gore, Earth in the Balance, Dan Quayle, and many more to become edit wars for no good reason. ChrisDJackson 23:58, 10 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Gabriele Lesser please protect, but not on Nico version. Cautious 22:40, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Oppose. The article is not about Erika Steinbach, and there is no need to copy the whole Steinbach article. Besides, it have to be written in a neutral way. Nico 22:44, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • You yourself are adding the staff about Erika. Lesser artcile is basically about her case against Erika, so it should be written with context. Try to NPOV about the legal battle. Cautious 23:05, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
  • Eastern Germany please unprotect, or protect on the redirect to East Germany. What is difference between Eastern and East. Cautious 22:34, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Stop trolling, Cautious. Nico 22:36, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • The present version includes this factual error:

The German-speaking population of former Eastern Germany, approximately 15 million people, were expelled from the area when the borders were moved, or fled from the advancing Red Army in the winter of 1944/1945. Around 3 million people were killed or died during the process.

15 milions includes evacuated and expelled people from whole Eastern Europe. Or Nico calls whole Eastern Europe Eastern GermanyCautious 23:14, 7 Mar 2004 (UTC)

  • McFly - request for unprotection, again. Anthony DiPierro 16:58, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • I don't think this should be unprotected until the VfD vote is complete in light of the revert wars on the page. - Texture 17:36, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • I think it should be unprotected precisely because of the VfD vote. Anthony DiPierro 17:44, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
        • I think it should be protected for longer unless Anthony and Wik agree not to continue their edit war on it. Angela. 17:01, Mar 5, 2004 (UTC)

  • History of Croatia - request for protection of the version with the casualty numbers 400,000 and 50,000 respectively. An anonymous user is constantly changing it to 900,000 and 35,000 respectively without any explanation whatsoever. --Shallot 17:45, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
    • Ban the anonymous user. Keep unprotected. Anthony DiPierro 17:46, 4 Mar 2004 (UTC)
      • It's just an anon. The chances are they won't come back. Just revert for now, and then report back here if they do show up again, but so far it looks like they were only here for one day. Angela. 17:01, Mar 5, 2004 (UTC)
        • They happened to come back, though they are a wee bit less inclined to litter this time. It's just the same old propaganda crap... though I'm not sure if it makes sense to outright protect the page, either. --Shallot 23:04, 6 Mar 2004 (UTC)
