Harrison Ford, born 13 July 1942 in Chicago, Illinois, is an actor who has acted in four of the top ten highest-grossing movies ever. His first major role was in "American Grafiti". He went on to star as Han Solo in the "Star Wars" trilogy. He starred as Indiana Jones in the "Raiders of the Lost Ark" trilogy and as Jack Ryan in Tom Clancy's "Patriot Games" and "Clear and Present Danger". He also starred in "Blade Runner", "Witness", "The Fugitive" and the remake of "Sabrina" among others.

He is a private pilot of both planes and helicopters. He worked as a carpenter in Hollywood before he broke through in movies. Guinness Book of World Records (2001) calls him the richest actor alive. His reported salary for the 2002 movie K-19: The Widowmaker" is over $25,000,000.
