The Goon Show
British radio programme of the 1950s, originally airing from 1951 to 1960.
Devised and written Spike Milligan and Larry Stephens under the watchful eye of Jimmy Grafton(KOGVOS-Keeper Of The Goons and Voice Of Sanity) .
Performed by Milligan, Peter Sellers and Harry Secombe, the Goon Show was an extremely popular comedy show on the BBC Home Service. The scripts mixed ludicrous plots with surreality, puns, catchphrases and an array of silly sound effects.

- Harry Secombe as Neddie Seagoon, the affable but gullible hero
- The Famous Eccles, a complete dimwit
- Miss Minnie Bannister, an elderly spinster
- Count Jim "Knees" Moriarty, Grytpype-Thynne's sidekick
- Major Dennis Bloodnok, an ex-military man
- Hercules Grytpype-Thynne, a suave cad who generally tries to swindle or trick Seagoon
- Henry Crun
- Bluebottle, a youngster who reads his own stage directions and is often "deaded"
- Willium "Mate" Cobblers
- Michael Bentine was part of the regular cast for the first two seasons.
