The Hole is a 2001 thriller directed by Nick Hamm, based on the novel After the Hole by Guy Burt. It is titled Secluded Empty Space in South Africa.
Plot
On a break from their British private school four teenagers are locked in an abandoned, underground bomb shelter.
Template:Spoiler In the beginning we are led to believe that Martyn has locked his three friends, Elizabeth, Mike, Frankie, and Geoff, into an underground bunker in an effort to win Elizabeth over. Later, as the plot twist and turns, we find out that ELizabeth has locked both she and her friends into the bunker in order to make one of her friends, Mike, fall in love with her. Frankie dies first, followed by Geoff, then Mike. Elizabeth leaves the bunker... and towards the end she confessess the truth to her counsler, but her statement wasn't officially recorded. She frames Martyn, and later kills him to cover up the truth.
