In the same mentality, woman was not allowed to find pleasure from sex, therefore sex was only served as a sort of marital prostitution; in this sense, anal sex was a form of contraception too in those couples who already had born too much babies, since the ignorance about other methods was more than complete, if possible. And note that we are talking of facts of a very few decades ago.

Gianfranco, I am interested in any information you have on men taking advantage of women. In my church, taking advantage of another person for one's own benefit is considered "evil". I'd like to expose evil activities, in the hopes that people of good conscience will band together to discourage such activities. Ed Poor
