History
In 1982, Peter Tan-Chi began an evangelistic home Bible study in Brookside Subdivision. At that first Bible study, only a few couples attended. They began inviting their friends to attend. As the Bible study grew, it moved to the residences of Ike and Del Punsalan, Tony and Mila Lim both in Brookside, and then to San Juan in the garage of the Carbonel residence. Two years later, from these Bible studies, a core group of 40 people--businessmen, professionals, and their families--met for their first CCF Sunday worship service, which was held at the AIM. Since then CCF worship services moved to various locations due to its growth in numbers. From AIM, services moved to Greenbelt, then to the PICC Conference Room, then to the PICC Plenary Hall. Worship services then split to Valle Verde Country Club and Sucat and eventually to St. Francis Square in Ortigas Center. Today, Christ's Commission Fellowship (CCF) is a thriving church of approximately 6,000 believers with worship and bible study centers in Metro Manila, Cebu, Cagayan de Oro, Biñan and Angeles. It is a unique fellowship composed and led by lay men and women who still share God's love and the Gospel in the style of the first century Christians: in small groups, in their homes, communities, and workplaces. It is an indigenous church, which operates without foreign affiliation or financial assistance. The vision that the Lord gave to the leaders of CCF is to establish a church patterned after that of the New Testament. The emphasis is on the active participation and ministry of lay people committed to fulfilling Christ's purpose as found in Matthew 28: 18-20. Hence, the church is named "Christ's Commission Fellowship." Based on scriptures, all Christians are called by the Lord to be ministers to make committed followers of Jesus Christ. Our work has just begun. We welcome all who are willing to share the same vision to labor together with us for the glory of God and His kingdom.
