Henry Dunster(c. 1612 - 1659) was born in Lancashire, England. He emigrated to Boston in 1640. On August 27 1640 he was appointeed president of Cambridge College, which was to become Harvard. He modelled Cambridge College after the English schools. In 1651, Henry refused to have his child baptized. This later led to him being forced to resign from Harvard. He spent the last few years of his life in Scituate, Mass, as a pastor, before he passed away in 1659.
