Via Purifico
Via Purifico (Latin: The Way/Road of Purification) is a dungeon in which enemies of Yevon might be thrown as a punishment in Final Fantasy X. It has two known sections: one filled with water, and the other dry and mazelike. Both are infested with fiends. Via Purifico means Path of Repentance in Latin.
Template:Spoilers After Tidus and the rest of the party navigate the Bevelle Cloister of Trials, they are captured by Bevellian soldiers and sentenced to the Via Purifico. Tidus, Rikku and Wakka (the characters able to battle underwater) are thrown into the wet section, and Yuna, Lulu, Auron and Kimahri Ronso into the dry section.
The exit to the wet section is guarded by Evrae Altana, a zombified version of Bevelle's guardian wyrm. This boss fight is considered to be one of (if not the) easiest boss fights in the entire game, due to the permanent zombie effect of the boss, combined with a Phoenix Down or two. The exit to the dry section isn't guarded by any particular fiend, but Isaaru, another summoner, was ordered to guard it in case Yuna should survive the maze. This serves as the penultimate summon battle (the final being against Belgemine in Remiem Temple, although this is not necessary for completion of the game) and is the only one that you need to win.
After the player makes it through the dungeon successfully, he/she can no longer return; therefore, any items or fiends are missible.
