Neoliberalism is a perjorative term for an economic policy and political philosophy with the goal of a universal free market through the economic formalization of transactions, including social acts.

Characteric aspects include expansion of the market to a 24-hour global trading cycle, contract maximalization, increase in the frequency of contracts, continuous assessment, and derivative markets.

Opposition to neoliberalism is generally classed as the anti-globalization movement.
