Edward Ellington (military officer)

Edward Leonard Ellington was born on 30 Dec 1877. He joined the British Army, attending the Royal Military Academy Woolwich. He transferred to the Royal Air Force on its creation on 1 April 1918 and rose to hold that Service's senior appointment, Chief of the Air Staff.
