Hicham Aâboubou (born May 19, 1978, in Morocco) is a Moroccan footballer who currently plays as a defender for the Montreal Impact.

Career

He started his soccer career with Khenifra playing with the junior team from 1992 to 1994. In 1994 he joined KACM, he first started at junior teams then he finally made it through the senior A team playing there until 2001. Then played for Mouloudia Oujda, in 2001-2002, before being transferred again to Kawkab AC Marrakech. From 2002 to 2006, he played with KACM A Team, scoring two goals in 48 games.

In 2006 he joined Laval Dynamites scoring two goals in 13 games. On July 31 he joined Montreal Impact but didn't play a single game in 2006. He made his debut on April 21, 2007 against the Atlanta Silverbacks. He was released by Montreal in February 2008, and later announced he would return to study at Université de Montréal, where he would joins the university's Carabins.[1]

On July 28, 2009 the Montreal Impact signed Aâboubou to a two-year contract[2]. He made his first appearance of the season on August 1st against Miami FC[3].
