La Fayette is the name of some places in the United States of America, generally named for the French hero of the American Revolution, the Marquis de la Fayette (sometimes referred to as the Marquis de Lafayette), as are most places named Lafayette, Fayette, or Fayetteville:

There was also LaFayette Motors, a United States automobile producer from the 1910s to the 1940s.
