Lost Generation

The lost generation refers to the young people coming of age in the United States shortly after World War I, and specifically to a group of literary notables who were beginning their careers in the 1920's. Significant members included Ernest Hemmingway, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Gertrude Stein.
