Quirinal (Quirinale in Italian) is one of the Seven Hills of Rome and the symbolic location of the government of Italy. From the conquest of Rome by the King of Sardinia until 1946 the Quirinal Palace was the official residence of the kings. Since then it has been the official residence of the president of Italy.
