Tropical Depression Nineteen was a short-lived depression in the open Atlantic Ocean in the 2005 Atlantic hurricane season.

Storm History

Tropical Depression Nineteen formed from a tropical wave about 665 miles (1075 km) west-southwest of the Cape Verde Islands on September 30. The depression was in a high shear environment, however early forecasts suggested that TD19 would strengthen into at least a tropical storm due to the high sea surface temperatures. It remained a tropical depression with 35 mph (60 km/h) winds for about 48 hours, but dissipated into a remnant low in the morning of October 2 without reaching tropical storm status.

Impact

Tropical Depression Nineteen never affected any land areas and there was no reported damage or fatalities.
