Terry Ananny is a Canadian artist and illustrator born in 1956 in Toronto. She is known for her bright acrylic paintings of Canadian children at play which have appeared on UNICEF and Canada Save the Children cards. Terry Ananny currently resides in Ottawa, Ontario.
Biography
Raised in southern Ontario, Terry Ananny spent her summers between rural Quebec living with local families on a student exchange program and traveling throughout northern Ontario. Terry Ananny received her early education in Toronto at Meisterschaft College and in 1975 moved to Ottawa to attend Carleton University. In 1989 Terry Ananny joined the Ottawa Art Association and participated in numerous juried exhibitions winning many awards for her acrylic paintings.
Works
Terry Ananny's works consist of brightly colored nostalgic paintings of Canadian children at play in the great outdoors. Her works have been inspired by the works of Henri Masson and Marc A. Fortin. Her work includes:
