Wile E Coyote

Wile E. Coyote is a fictional character appearing in the Looney Tunes Roadrunner cartoons. He is a coyote who is always unsuccessfully chasing the Roadrunner, usually using a number of gadgets and gizmos, more often than not made by the Acme Corporation, of which Wile must be on the mailing list. His plots, usually ridiculously elaborate, always backfire, and he ends up exploded, at the bottom of ravines and so on. In the Roadrunner cartoons, he never speaks but does occasionally hold up signs. Wile E. Coyote is a creation of Chuck Jones who also directed his cartoons.

Wile E. Coyote has also unsuccessfully attempted to catch and eat Bugs Bunny in another series of cartoons. In these cartoons, the Coyote does speak with a generic East Coast upper class accent.
