George Stephanopoulos, a Rhodes Scholar, was a political adviser to the 1992 U.S. presidential campaign of William Jefferson Clinton and later became Clinton's White House Press Secretary and Senior Advisor on Policy and Strategy. After leaving the White House, he became a political analyst for ABC News, appearing on the ABC Sunday talk program "This Week." He currently hosts the program.

He received his bachelor's degree from Columbia University in 1982, where he was a Truman Scholar and member of Phi Beta Kappa. He earned a master's degree in theology at Balliol College of Oxford, where he studied as a Rhodes Scholar.
