Tremors 2: Aftershocks
Tremors 2: Aftershocks is the 1996 sequel to Tremors (1990). It is followed by two further sequels, in 2001 and 2004.
Tremors 2 is set six years after the first Tremors film. Val McKee has left the cast, and now it is up to Earl Basset (his faithful friend from the first movie) and Grady Hoover (a rather goofy character).
Earl is approached by the president of a Mexican oil company telling him that there has been a graboid problem and that he would like Earl to help. At first, Earl is reluctant until he finds out he will be paid $50,000 for each graboid killed. He subsequently accepts and Grady begs to come along. From that point on he is Earl's partner.
When they arrive they meet an attractive female scientist and her assistant Julio. They then join them on their quest to kill the graboids. Next, in what seems like a graboid attack, Burt Gummer appears and joins the fight. The main difference from this movie and the others is that the graboids become shriekers and that it's set in Mexico.
