Rob Grant's novel, Colony.

Rob Grant is a British comedy writer. With Doug Naylor he worked on radio programs such as Cliché and Son of Cliché, and TV programs such as Spitting Image, Red Dwarf, The 10 Percenters and various Jasper Carrott projects.

Grant left Red Dwarf after the sixth series, saying he wished to "have more on my tombstone than Red Dwarf". He appeared in the episode "Backwards" as a man who unsmoked a cigarette. He has since written two TV series, Dark Ages and The Strangerers, and has written four solo books.

Some of his upcoming projects include Fat, a new novel and an animated series entitled Cruel Aliens.
