Jetty built in 1882

Grange is a suburb located by the beach in Adelaide. It is approximately thirty minutes drive from the Adelaide Central business district.

The suburb is named after the home of Charles Sturt which he built on 500 acres (2 km²) allocated to him in 1842. The Grange cottage is still standing next to the school. Sturt's farm was subdivided in 1878 by a private company intending to establish a beach resort. The jetty was built in 1882.
