Dalip Singh is an Indian power-lifter and a wrestler who currently works for the World Wrestling Entertainment. He wrestles under the developmental territory Ohio Valley Wrestling. He stands at 7 ft 3 inches and weighs 400 lb. He was a Punjab (India) state police bodybuilder and legitimate Pehlwan.
Wrestling
Dalip Singh is famous for making an eventual transition from bodybuilding to professional wrestling. In Japan, he’s known for hard-fought shoot style matches against major Japanese professional wrestlers and mixed martial arts competitors, including a headline "battle of the giants" against Brazilian wrestler/mixed martial arts competitor Giant Silva at the Tokyo Nippon Budokan.
New Japan Pro Wrestling claimed he was 7'7" and 441 pounds.
On January 2, 2006, WWE announced that Dalip would be a employee to the company.
Acting
He played the role of Turley in the in the 2005 remake of the motion Picture The Longest Yard. Dalip Singh came to Canada in 1998 and trained in the small community of Malton, Ontario. Two years later he made his debut in New Japan Pro Wrestling as Giant Singh.
