Sarcoidoisis

Sarcoidosis (sar-kyo-do'sis): "A systemic granulomatous disease of unknown cause, expecially involving the lungs with resulting fibrosis, but also involving lymph nodes, skin, liver, spleen, eyes, phalangeal bones, and parotid glands; granulomas are composed of epithelioid and multinucleated giant cells with little or no necrosis". Analysis of a thoraxal x-ray indicates widened hila pulmonis in otherwise normal lungs.
