Template:Infobox Town DE Vaterstetten is a town in Bavaria, Germany. It is located at 48°05′45″N 11°47′15″E / 48.09583°N 11.78750°E / 48.09583; 11.78750, and had a population of 21,052 in 2003.

Vaterstetten is a beautiful little town located eastward, and on the outskirts of Munich. It is rather quiet and secluded, but a short s-5 SBahn train ride and you are standing right in the very center of the action in The "innenstadt" or downtown Munich, namely Marienplatz. Vaterstetten also shares a town hall, or Rathaus with an even smaller town called Baldham. Both towns are very calm, and are situated very close to the black forests. If anyone manages to go and visit them, there is an amazing italian restaurant called "Il Giardino" (absolutely amazing penne arribata, pizzas, and a special custard-cake with fruit in called zuppa romana!) not far from Vaterstetten town hall, just off of Schwalbenstraße, and a delicious chinese restaurant called Shilton, right at the end of the mainstreet of Baldham, on the corner of the B304 and Geranienweg (highly recommend popping in!). They'll be very happy to hear from you!
