Michael Goldenberg is a playwright and more recently a Hollywood screenwriter and director.

He adapted the 2003 live-action version of Peter Pan. Goldenberg is the co-screenwriter for Spike Jonze's upcoming Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures production of Where the Wild Things Are (expected in 2007) and the fifth Harry Potter movie: Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix (2007). He replaced Steve Kloves who adapted all of the previous Harry Potter novels for the screen. However, Kloves will return to the series for the sixth film and Goldenberg reportedly has a deal to write and direct a futuristic drama for Warner Bros. following Order of the Phoenix. [1]
