A

She appears on TV all throughout the Dragonball series mostly at Kame House. This is Master Roshi's favorite TV show, who watches it whenever he is able to.

Akane Kimidori Template:Appears in:DB

One of the main characters from... Dr. Slump, Akane is one of Arale's best friends. She spends most of her time hanging out, playing pranks or getting into trouble. Her boyfriend is Tsuku-tsun and her sister is Aoi Kimidori. She shows up with the rest of the Dr. Slump character briefly in Dragonball.

The man who created Dragonball. Toriyama actually makes a few appearances in the DB and DBZ manga, showing up in volumes 1 and 42, but each time in the form known as Tori-Bot.

He is known as Devil Man in the Funimation Dub. One of Uranai Baba's nastiest fighters. He gave Goku a run for his money and tried to explode his heart by expanding the evil inside it, but unfortunately for him, he didn't know that Goku had a pure heart.

An alligator who likes to sunbathe in a hammock on Kame Island. In Dragonball, he points out Muten Roshi to Mai and Shu when they show up looking for him.

Alien Announcer Template:Appears in:DBZ

This mushroom headed alien is the Announcer for the Other World Tournaments. He is very similar to the announcer on Earth not counting looks of course.

Almond is one of the members of Tullece's force in DBZ Movie #3. He squares off against Kuririn, before being taken out later by Goku.

A robot that resembles the monster in Frankenstein. Agent Purple (Murasaki) uses him to fight Goku, but he refuses. When Purple threatens to press his self destruct button, Goku knocks it out of his hand. Goku nicknames him Hachan, and he helps defeat General White. After eliminating the Red Ribbon contingent in Jingle Village, he reveals that he had found and hidden the dragonball that the army was looking for, knowing that they were going to kill the villages once it was found. Hearing this, the head of the village invites Hachan to live with him. During the Majin Buu arch, he reappears briefly to give some energy to Goku to power his Super Genki Dama.

A creation of Dr. Gero, Android 13 was the strongest of the three robots (the others being 14 and 15), and a fair match for Goku. He "evolved" into the much more powerful Super Android 13 after absorbing key components from the defeated Androids 14 and 15. He appeared in the 7th movie. Never appears in the manga.

Attacks:

  • Red Eye Brain (S.S Deadly Bomb)

A large gray android with a braided ponytail, Android 14 was sliced in half by Mirai Trunks, which caused him to explode. After his defeat two of his parts were absorbed by 13. Never appears in the manga.

Attacks:

  • Green Slicing Beam
  • Rapid Fire - many teal oval-shaped ki

A small purple android with a large hat, shades and found to consistently be drinking an (assumed) alcoholic beverage, Android 15 was destroyed by Vegeta. After his defeat two of his parts were absorbed by 13. Never appears in the manga.

Attacks:

  • Android Barrier
  • Rapid Fire - many teal oval-shaped ki

Android 16 is a large android with red hair and a green armor. He is the second most powerful android of the Z series other than Cell perfect form, but unlike other androids, 16 is gentle by nature. His body is destroyed by Perfect Cell, however, his head survives, and requests that Mr. Satan throw him over to the fight, to help Gohan control himself. Cell completely destroys 16 after he gets his word, crushing his head and pushing Gohan to go SSJ2.

Brother of Android 18, created by Dr. Gero.

Sister of Android 17, created by Dr. Gero. After defeating Android 17, Krillan wishes Android 18 Human.

Android 19 (19) is one of the first androids seen in Dragon Ball Z. He plays a small role at the start of the Android Saga as Dr. Gero's side-kick. 19 volunteers to fight against Goku and is initially on the losing side of the battle until Goku's heart disease starts to set in, weakening him; 19 then starts to take the upperhand in the battle and latches on to Goku, draining him of a considerable amount of his energy until Vegeta interrupts their fight.

Vegeta then reveals that he is now a Super Saiyan and Vegeta clearly has the upper hand against 19 before he manages to latch his hands on to Vegeta's wrists to absorb his energy; Vegeta responds by pulling the android's hands clean off. A terrified 19 then scrambles away, but is finished of by Vegeta's signature Big Bang Attack.

See Doctor Gero. The robot form of Dr. Gero.

She is one of Gohan's classmates at Orange Star High School. She develops a crush on Gohan, and also finds out a secret of his. Gohan believes she knows he is the Great Saiyaman, so he goes on a date with her, so she will keep the secret. But the only thing she knows is that he wears teddy bear underwear! They break up soon after.

A pretty-boy villain from DBZ Movie 4, "Lord Slug". He was almost certainly modeled after Zarbon in his mannerisms. He looks like a Greek God with horns sticking out of his head. He swallows his own Ki blast which Goku deflected back at him, killing him.

The female guardian of the Furnace of Eight Divinations at a border between the world and the after-life.

The man who hosts every World Tournament from the beginning of DB to DBGT. He mainly just commentates on the matches, but over the years he has got to know the Z Warriors, and knows that they are responsible for saving the earth. He even says so in one episode that Goku killed Cell (although it was really Gohan). He doubts Hercules abilities, such as in the episode Vegeta goes out of control. In every tournament something bad happens that enhances his role: in the King Piccolo saga he is beaten up after witnessing Krillin being killed; during the Piccolo Jr. Saga he becomes very important as he witnesses Goku's fight with King Piccolo from the sidelines with the others. At the end of the DBZ series, he starts to lose his hair and looks very old. But in GT his hair remains blonde and he does not seemed to have aged since.

Akane's sister who runs the Coffee Pot Cafe in Penguin Village. She shows up for one scene in Dragon Ball during the time Goku meets the Dr. Slump characters.

One of Freeza's henchmen on Namek. His life is extinguished by Vegeta when he escapes from the healing tank. His name is a play on the fruit Apple .

A strange little competitor in the Other World Tournament. He resembles a man crossed with a fish, and while he's a terrible fighter on land, even Goku isn't much of a match for him underwater.

Arale Norimaki Template:Appears in:DB

Arale is in Akira Toriyama's second most famous series, Dr. Slump. She is a robot girl with amazing strength and speed created by Dr. Slump. The only problem is that she has poor eyesight. She shows up in the series when Goku chases General Blue all the way to Peguin Village, she then defeats Blue in two moves after he paralyses Goku.

An Arlian, freed from his prison on Arlia when Vegeta and Nappa escape. He is married to Lemlia but is imprisoned by the cruel King Moai. Just as he is reunited with Lemlia, Vegeta destroys the planet Arlia, killing them both.

B

Babidi is the son of Template:DB:LDBc. Taking over the minds of very powerful beings, Babidi was determined to resurrect Majin Buu. With the help of Dabura, Pui Pui, Yakon, and Vegeta (who was seized by Babidi to destroy Supreme Kai and help release Buu). Babidi's mental abilities are very powerful, surpassing those of various mystical individuals who reside in Other World such as the telepath King Kai, and illusionist Princess Snake. After Buu is released, Vegeta nearly kills Babidi when trying to destroy Buu. When Buu is seemingly destroyed, Piccolo bisects Babidi and leaves him for dead. After Buu revives himself, he finds Babidi who then orders Buu to revive him. Babidi orders Buu to kill Dabura, Supreme Kai, Gohan, Piccolo, Goten, Trunks, Vegeta (before his sacrifice) and whoever else stands in his way. After an encounter with Super Saiyan 3 Goku, Buu learns that he is stronger than Babidi. Realizing this, Buu strangles Babidi, and then punches his head off in rebellion. Babidi's reasons for wanting to release Buu are unknown save for the fact that he wanted to make his father proud.

A huge filfthy competitor in the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai who never washed or brushed his teeth since the day he was born. He uses his stench as a weapon since his opponents need to hold their noses closed, he can attack them better. All of his special attacks are disgusting and range from spitting on his victim, to touching them with sweat from his groin. Kuririn almost loses to him, until Goku reminds Kuririn that he's just imagining the smell because he doesn't have a nose. Which Kuririn quickly remembers and beats Bacterian almost instantly.

A huge sword-wielding bear who has a taste for sea turtle. Goku's first true battle is with this bear, who refuses to back down after Goku threatens to fight him if he won't let them pass. He was defeated easily.

Bee is the little dog who Buu finds and befriends along with Mr. Satan. Buu bonds with the puppy and is playing catch with him, when the dog is shot by two sick humans who are going around hunting people. Buu heals the puppy, but he's enraged by the event, and of course the morons go and shoot Mr. Satan which causes him to flip and create Thin Boo. Bee lives with Mr. Satan and Boo after the Buu Saga.

A short wizard who long ago created the monster Boo (Buu) to destroy the universe. When Boo became disobedient, he begins to seal him within a large purple ball while going from world to world. He is only seen in a few flashbacks during the Buu Saga. His name is part of a word play from the classic Disney movie, Cinderella: Bibidi Babidi Boo.

Bido is the large henchman of Bojack's crew, who has a mohawk and orange goatee. He tag-teams with Bujin in order to take down the opponents that Bujin traps. Right before he can kill Trunks, Vegeta blasts through the roof, knocking him and Bujin down. After Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2, he is punched in half and killed by the Saiyan, along with his ally Bujin.

A clone of Broly that becomes disfigured by containment slime and wreaks havoc in an island laboratory in DBZ Movie 11. Bio Broly is eventually defeated when the ocean water causes him to solidify and turn to stone by chemical compounds, after which Goten and Trunks blow him up.

These little saibamen-like creatures, were created by Dr. Kochin. They are usually given assignments to go out and search for someone. They also guard Dr. Wheelo's Lab from anyone that happens to come along.

Created by Jaga Bada, the Bio Warriors would have easily defeated Mr. Satan if Goten, Trunks, and #18 hadn't shown up and had beaten then effortlessly.

Black Smoke Shenron Template:Appears in:DBGT

In Dragon Ball GT, after the death of Super 17, Goku and his friends put together the 7 Dragon Balls. Instead of Shenron appears a black dragon, that represents the negative energy accumulated for many years (because the Dragon Balls use positive energy). This Dragon is then divided into 7 evil shenrons, each for every Dragon Ball.

Black Star Shenron Template:Appears in:DBGT

The Black star Dragon was made by Kami when he and Piccolo were still one person. This dragon can do whatever you want, including killing someone. After your wish has been made the dragonballs spread around the universe & if the Dragon Balls aren't brought back to the planet it will explode.

Bluberry and Raspberry Template:Appears in:DBZ

The gator/dog-like henchman of Frieza, he and his partner Raspberry set out on a mission to find the Namek Dragonballs. On their quest they meet the crafty Bulma who, although intimidated by the two at first, ultimately outsmarts them both. She tells them that the remaining Dragonballs are hidden in the sea, tricking the two into believing that hundreds of giant crab eggs are actually Dragonballs, and then leaves them to deal with the angry mother.

Bojack is a big, muscular alien appearing in the DBZ Movie Bojack Unbound. He somewhat resembles a pirate, with a blue-green skin, long orange hair and a long scar over his face. He and his mercenaries first appear disturbing a martial arts tournament (which Gohan and his friends Piccolo, Krillin, Tien, Yamcha and Trunks are attending) by killing some of the people dressed like alien guests who were brought there for the event. Bojack was once locked into a star because he wanted to conquer the universe. When Goku brought Cell (who was about to explode) to King Kai's planet, the explosion freed Bojack. He and his helpers proved to be more than a match for our heroes (even after Vegeta joins them) but are easily killed when Gohan turns Super Saiyan 2. Bojack is also capable of a power-up, in which his body color turns to a light green and his hair turns red (along with all of his upperbody-wear is ripped into shreds, including his bandana. This is probably due to an increase of his muscle mass). One of Bojack's minions showed this ability as well. It is unknown if his other three minions where capable of this as well (they were all the same species). Bojack also shows up in DBZ movie 12, when almost all of the DBZ villains escape from HFIL.

An officer of King Gurumesu's army that uses heavy weaponry to get the job done. He tries to keep Goku from coming into the King's Palace, but he is easily taken down. While inside the palace, he is stepped on and flattened by Emperor Gurumesu.

The powerful Indian who lives at the base of Korin Tower with his son Upa. Bora is just like his name sounds. He's muscular, tall and a man of few words. He fends off Colonel Yellow's men by himself, but he's later speared by Tao Pai Pai and killed. When Shenron is summoned next, Goku's wish is that Bora be brought back to life. Bora is seen with his son in the last couple episodes of Dragon Ball Z when he gives energy to Goku for his Genki Dama. Bora is an example of the noble savage.

Boss Rabbit (Monster Carrot) Template:Appears in:DB

The boss of a small group gangsters that terrorize a small town. The ironic thing, is that he's a giant rabbit and his gang members wear fake rabbit ears. The reason Boss Rabbit is feared so much is because he has the ability to turn people into carrots, just by touching them. He's sent to the moon by Goku where he's forced to make rabbit shaped treats for kids, (it's a play on an old Japanese folk-tale which says that rabbits live on the moon and make treats for children, which is also why Sailor Moon's name is Usagi, because Usagi means rabbit in Japanese). He is clearly gay, at many times showing his strong feelings for Goku, and also by the fact that he seemingly only tries to touch men, to turn them into carrots, which is an obvious play on the homosexual behaviour due to the phallic shape of carrots.

North Kaio's pet monkey who serves as a training exercise. The exercise is to catch Bubbles. It seems easy, but the gravity on Kaio's planet in 10x earth's gravity and Bubbles is perfectly used to it. It takes Goku 11 days to catch Bubbles. He is killed when Cell self-destructs on King Kai's planet.

Bulma's Descendent Template:Appears in:DBGT

Bulma's great-granddaughter. It is not clear if she's Trunks or Bra's grandchild. She is the mother of Vegeta Junior, the great-great grandson of Vegeta. She appears 100 years after the end of DBGT watching him fight in the World Tournament.

She is Bulma's mother and the wife of Dr. Briefs. A certified ditz, she is always interested in flirting with Son Goku and Vegeta. In the anime, she makes a suggestive comment that she would like to go on a date with Vegeta. Not much is known about her, but in the anime she's characterised as the stereotypical blonde air-head who loves shopping and eating expensive cakes. Probably the most disturbing feature of this woman is the fact that, as far as physical appearances go, she looks at least as young as her daughter, and unlike Bulma, she doesn’t appear to age at all throughout DBZ. Her first name is unknown, but according to most people her name is Bunny. Friendly and talkative, Mrs. Brief is seen mostly at home. She loves to have company and entertain guests. And she only opens her eyes once in the entire series. Mrs. Briefs isn't much of a character, but she's a painfully good-natured woman, always ready to serve guests tea and cakes. She seems to be unaware of the danger that is usually happening. During the Buu saga, she and her husband are targeted at Capsule Corp by Buu after someone informs Babidi where Trunks lives. This is the first and only time Trunks refers to her as "grandma" in the series.

Bujin is the short, psychic henchmen of Bojack. He likes to use Chou no Ryoku on his opponents to stop them in their tracks. He and Bujin almost succeeded in killing Trunks if not for Vegeta who intervened. Along with Bido, he is killed by Gohan after going Super Saiyan 2 by getting kicked through the waist, separating him in two pieces.

A tall blue alien and a member of the Ginyu Force, he was believed to be the fastest warrior in the universe. During the Ginyu Saga though, he was outclassed by Goku, even though he was teaming up with Jeice at the time. He suffers the same fate as Nappa, being defeated by Goku and later on finished off by Vegeta, who crushes his neck. While his power level is never specified, it is estimated to be somewhere between 30 and 50 thousand.

In the animated series, but not the manga, he and the rest of the deceased Ginyu Force travel to King Kai's planet and square off against the Z warriors who were training there. Burter teams up with Jeice, and they are defeated by Tien.

Attacks:

  • Blue Comet Attack
  • Purple Comet Crash (partnered with Jeice)

Buu is a magical creation made by Bibidi. Buu comes in many forms these include (and are not limited to) Kid Buu, Fat Buu, Evil Buu, Super Buu, Buutenks, Buuhan, Uub, Majuub, Muscular Kid Buu, and Piccolo Buu. Buu's attacks include Death Ball, turning himself into a cannonball, Earth Destroyer, Kamehameha, Special Beam Cannon, Ki blasts, stretching himself, Super Ghost Kamikaze Attack, and many more(basically any attacks that the person he absorbs has). Essentially he is the most powerful villain in Dragon Ball Z and has the broadest range of attacks and abilities in Dragon Ball history.

One of the many goofy, (yet muscle-bound), competitors in the 28th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He's a man in a chicken suit.

Captain Violet Template:Appears in:DB

The only female high ranking officer in the Red Ribbon Army. She's only seen briefly, and simply gives Commander Red the 5 Star Dragon Ball which her team located.

Cargo is the brother of Dende who is murdered by Dodoria.

He is one of the competitors in the Other World Tournament that Goku faces off against. He tries to tickle Goku into submission, but that doesn't work, so he goes into a pupa state, (he's a caterpillar creature), to grow into a much more powerful adversary. The only problem is, he has to remain in his cocoon for 1,200 years, so the match is forfeited in favor of Goku.

Cell {appears in:DBZ, DBGT} {main|Cell (Dragon Ball) cell is a green lizardish-humanistic being, with a cocky attitude. Cell has 3 forms, first is a lizard-type thing. with the power of a super saiyan level 2, and not super saiyan 2 level 2. second form has a more humane look to him.with fish like lips. this form is the form of android 17 absorbed in cell. He has eyes like android 17, and has the equivalent of a super saiyan level 3, also known as the 'ascendant saiyan'. later on Cell absorbs android 18 and becomes perfect cell. He encounters Goku, vegeta, Trunks in the tournement and out of the tournement. later on he fights Gohan, an 11-year old boy who has incredible power when ticced off, only when unleashed. android 16 gets killed by cell and Gohan sees this in front of his very own eyes, which causes him to transform into a super saiyan 2 later on goku sacrifices himself to save the planet of Cell self-destruction, and transports him to king kai's planet. But some of Cell's nucleus remains on earth and regenerates as an even more improved perfect Cell, known as 'Super-Perfect' Cell and kills trunks. Vegeta, outraged by this, tries to demolish Cell but is no match for him and dies aswell,Cell throws a kai blast at Vegeta but Gohan goes in the way and Gohan dislocates his arm.(I don't know about the kai blast thing but I know Gohan dislocates his arm though). Gohan, being superior to Cell now had now hope but to use kamehameha on Cell but so did he and went in a collision both kamehamehas at each other and the others help in. All weakened by Cell and the 'Cell Juniors'. "with this much power I will be able to blow the whole solar sytem!" Cell boasted. Gohan had done a one handed kamehameha. Unable to go any further Goku helps from 'other world' to do a kamehameha and makes Gohan unleash his power again and they defeat Cell. People are wished back and the 'BOO'saga begins!!!

A blue, child-like version of Cell. Cell spawns seven of these creatures to battle the Z fighters in an effort to make Gohan angry. When Gohan finally does snap, he dispatches them quite readily. They appear to have inherited most of Cell's special abilities.

Cell specifically spawned seven Cell Juniors for each Z fighter, but Gohan killed eight.

Attacks:

  • Special Beam Cannon
  • Tri-Beam Cannon
  • Destruto Disc
  • KameHameHa

Serippa (dub: Fasha) is a fictional character in the anime Dragon Ball Z. She is a Saiyan and a member of a group of mercenaries led by Goku's father Bardock. Serippa makes her first appearance in a flashback during the Frieza Saga of the Dragonball Z series but actually appeared as a main character in the beginning of the Dragonball Z TV Special, Bardock: The Father of Goku.

Like Bardock and most Saiyans Serippa worked as a mercenary for Frieza destroying the inhabitants of other planets one by one. Serippa is very cocky. Serippa is fond of children, for she butted into Bardock's personal life by asking him to visit his son before they go out on their next mission.

After Bardock is attacked by one of the last surviving members of Kanassa, Serippa and the crew decided to return him back to their homeworld Planet Vegeta so that he could be healed thoroughly in the Recovery Chambers. After hearing that there is some possible damage in his brainwave patterns they've decided to leave without him to destroy the inhabitants on Planet Meat as their next assignment. After reaching Meat they immediately destroy all of its natives, but before they could celebrate the moment, she and the rest of the team were ambushed and killed by a group of Frieza's elite-class warrior henchmen on his orders, including Dodoria.

Her name is a pun from either one of the two vegetables, parsley or celery .

Chapuchai is from the East Quadrant of the Other World. Although known for his speed, Chapuchai lost in the first round of the Other World Tournament. The victor in his match was the legendary Earthling Olibu.

She's a character appearing in DBZ movie #10 "The Dangerous Pair!! Super-Warriors Never Rest". Coco is a kid living in Natade Village who decides to sacrifice herself to calm the monster that terrorizes her village. Actually the monster is a big dinosaur and it will be Videl, Goten and Trunks that see the thing by themselves, before to meet Broly.

The leader of the infamous Red Ribbon Army. He wishes to have the Dragon Ball to grant his greatest wish, and thousands upon thousands of men join his army when they produce images of world power and the such, however, in the last episodes of the Red Ribbon Saga, Red reveals to his servant, Staff Officer Black, that he was going to wish to be taller, (the guy's a midget). Black is stunned by the news and shoots Red in the forehead out of contempt, (if you found out you'd been working for a guy who was creating havoc across the world just to wish to be taller, you'd be a bit peeved yourself).

Weirdly enough, Commander Red and Officer Black look-a-likes appeared in an episode of the Great Saiyaman saga as movie directors.

Colonel Silver Template:Appears in:DB

The first member of the Red Ribbon Army that Goku encounters and battles. By normal means he's a good fighter, but Goku takes him out in no time. He isn't killed by Goku though, only KO'ed.

Cui is a higher ranking henchman of Freeza that often uses his superior rank to achieve his means. Although at one time he was more powerful than Vegeta, he was no match for him once Vegeta had returned from Earth and promptly killed him. His power level was 18,000. Sometimes spelled Kui or Kiwi.

Cymbal is Demon King Piccolo's second minion. King Piccolo's other spawns include: Tambourine, Piano, Drum, and Piccolo.

D

The Prince of Demons, Dabura is possessed by Babidi and serves as his right-hand man and most powerful minion. He is turned into a large cookie, and is eaten by Majin Buu after he realizes that the creature is uncontrollable and attempts to destroy it.

In the anime, Dabura ends up in heaven and since he is no longer a servant to Babidi, he reforms his ways. He appears as a ghost like entity with a sickeningly cuddly disposition.

Daigorou Kurigashisa Template:Appears in:DB

One of the inhabitants of Penguin Village who pops up during the cross-over series.

Daizu is another one of Tullece's gang members. He is an extremely strong character, since he and the others defeated all of the Z Fighters, except Goku. But, Goku quickly beats him, once he uses Kaioken.

The father of Bulma, Dr. Briefs is a grey-haired, brilliant scientist and one of the smartest men in the world. Dr. Briefs is the founder of Capsule Corporation and the man responsible for the invention of the Dyno-Cap, which can shrink inanimate objects down to pocket sized capsule of namesake. Dr. Briefs rarely leaves his home, and he can often be found tinkering on a number of complicated gadgets while surrounded by his beloved pets. He and Bulma fixed Android 16 during the Imperfect Cell Saga, showing off their technical know-how. Usually Doctor Briefs is seen with a cat on his shoulder and a cigarette in his mouth (unless it has been edited out). As Bulma's father, it is his knack for hi-tech wizardry that has been passed on to her.

He's a scientist who makes experiments inside the bio-engineering laboratory owned by Jagar Badda, in DBZ movie #11 "A Super-Warrior Defeat!! I am the Winner".

The great inventor Dr. Flappe resides on the outskirts of Suno's village. He lives on an isolated mountaintop in order to conduct his scientific experiments undisturbed. Suno, Goku, and Android Number 8 pay a visit to the Doctor hoping that his expertise will help Number 8. Dr. Flappe greets his visitors warmly, but his hospitality may conceal darker intentions. Dr. Flappe is a non-canonical character who only appears in the anime. He was an attempt of Toei Animation to explain the creation of he Androids that appear in early Dragonball, since Akira Toriyama had not yet concieved the character Dr. Gero until after the Frieza Saga.

Dr. Willow's android assistant who gathers the Dragon Balls and frees Dr. Willow from his laboratory. He is well equipped for fighting even though he appears old and harmless. His hand can transform into a chain gun and his staff can hurl energy blasts.

A villain from the fabled 'Lost Dragonball Movie' otherwise known as DragonBall OVA's #1 and #2. (The Japanese title is 'The plan to destroy the Saiyans'). This Tuffle releases Destron gas on Earth, which makes the Z Warriors lose their ability to use ki attacks. They defeat the demons that guard the Destron generators, then Cooler, Lord Slug and Turles show up. Yes, they are dead but King Kai tells the heroes that they are ghost fighters send by Dr. Raiichi. This is all part of his plan to lure Goku, Gohan, Trunks and Vegeta (the last remaining saiyans) to the 'dark planet'. Once on the Dark Planet, they battle Dr. Raiichi, whose only attack is barrier, and destroy him. He re-materializes and so our heroes learn that he too is a ghost fighter. Vegeta destroys him again.

The main villain in DBZ Movie 2, "The World's Strongest". He was a scientist who worked on evil experiments with his assistant/creation Dr. Koochin. However, 50 years before the start of Dragon Ball, horrible weather said to be sent from the gods sealed him in his laboratory in the Tsurumaitsuburi Mountains. However, his brain was transplanted into a large mechanical device that would keep him alive until the day when he could find the world's strongest man and take control of their body. Goku takes him out with the Genki Dama.

File:Dodoria.jpg

The 'left-hand man' of Freeza, Dodoria is a large, pink alien with short spikes on his head and forearms. He travelled with Freeza to Namek in search of the dragonballs, but soon encountered Vegeta. In a plea for mercy, Dodoria told Vegeta the truth about Freeza's destruction of Planet Vegeta, but Vegeta killed him regardless.

Attacks:

  • Super Mouth Blast

In the anime, it was Dodoria who killed Bardock's crew.

Leena's true betrothed. A strong-bodied warrior, but not in the Z-fighters' class. He unmasks Zuunama as a fraud by cutting off one of his earthquake predicting whiskers.

He's the tyrant of Planet of Merchants Imegga in Dragon Ball GT series. He's a very greedy king with a little effeminate aspect. Everything touching his planet ground becomes his property, so even Trunks' space ship, fallen down because of a damage, has been taken by Don Kir's men. When even his very strong bodyguard Lezik is defeated by Goku, the tyrant is obliged to give up and bring back everything which Imegga inhabitants have had stolen.

Doore is one of the members of Cooler's team. He accompanies Cooler along with the rest of the team to Earth to avenge Frieza's death. Doore, not the strongest of warriors, faces off against Piccolo. Piccolo fires a blast at Doore easily killing him.

One of Uranai Baba's ghostly fighters. This kickboxing vampire first fights Kuririn and manages to suck Kuririn's blood. Kuririn breaks free but loses by ring out. Dracula next fights Puar & Upa. They don't seem to stand a chance until Upa eats a bunch of garlic & starts breathing on Dracula Man. He fights back by trying to bite Puar. Puar turns into a porcupine seconds before and Dracula Man gets a mouth full of needles. Upa gets into a stance that resembles a cross. This freaks Dracula Man out so he turns into a bat and tries to escape. Puar quickly turns into a giant hand a slaps Dracula Man out of the ring.

At the opening scene of the first episode of DBZ, Raditz's space pod crashes on a farmer's property. The frightened farmer quickly rushes to investigate. He tries to intimidate Raditz away from his property with his shotgun, but fails miserably. In desperation he fires his gun at the approaching Saiyan, but Raditz merely catches the bullet in his fingertips and casually flicks it back at the farmer, killing him instantly. He's killed by Raditz in the manga, but in the anime, he can be seen from time to time.

Froug is from the South Quadrant of the Other World. He was destined to loose to Maraikoh in the Other World Tournament, but not before putting up a good fight. He attempted to push Maraikoh from the ring by swelling up to the size of the arena, but his efforts weren't enough.

Gajira Norimaki (Gatchan) Template:Appears in:DB

These twin angels spoke a language only understood by Arale. Gatchan became ill and trapped itself into a cocoon and spent a lot of time inside. When the cocoon broke, there were two Gatchans. Gatchan is short for Gajira (Japanese for Godzilla) containing the suffix 'chan' which means child.

He's one of the guards of the palace of Don Kee, the tyrant of Planet Imegga in Dragon Ball GT series. He usually teams up with Sheela, but they are both easily defeated by Goku, Pan and Trunks.

Garlic's son born to complete his father's dream and take vengeance. He was the main villain in DBZ Movie 1, "The Dead Zone". At the end of the movie he was sealed in the Dead Zone, but he later reappeared in the anime after the Freeza saga with some more evil henchman, and released a poisonous water on all of earths people in order to turn them into his minions, but was sealed away in the Dead Zone again.

The leader of the Blue Corps, General Blue is probably the strongest officer in the Red Ribbon Army. He also has powerful psychic abilities. It's also suggested in the manga, and obvious in the anime that he's gay. He trails Goku and company into the pirate's cave, and almost kills Kuririn and Goku. Luckily for them, he's deathly afraid of mice, and loses his concentration when he is startled by one. Goku knocks him out afterwords. He somehow survives the collapse of the pirate's lair, and trails our heroes to the Kame House, where he is successful in stealing the dragon radar and dragon balls. Goku catches up with him in Penguin Village, and Arale-chan helps him defeat the General. Although successful in stealing the radar, he fails to get Goku's Dragon Balls, which ultimately costs him his life. Commander Red gives him a chance to redeem himself by fighting Tao Pai Pai, the merciless assassin. Tao Pai Pai easily kills Blue, using nothing but his tongue.

In charge of Muscle Tower, he commands Android 8, Major Metallitron, Ninja Musaraki, and Monster Buyon. He had a Dragon Ball that Goku wanted, and he also hurt many people in the village outside of the Tower. Goku didn't like that, so he went to go fight him. After Goku had defeated every person in the tower, he went after White. White had the mayor held captive and threatened to kill the mayor if need be. Goku didn't move one bit, but he was the one that got shot anyway. After Goku fell, White tried to fire again, but Android 8 blocked it. Android 8 went into a rage and charged White. He then blew White out of the tower, sending him to a snowy grave.

A giant cloud-riding, ribbon attacking red demon from DB Movie 2 "The Dreaming Princess in Devil's Castle".

A little ghost that works for Fortuneteller Baba (Master Roshi's sister). Ghost Usher's job is to direct people around Fortuneteller Baba's place when they show up for her services.

He's one of Garlic Junior's henchmen and appears in DBZ Movie #1 "The Dead Zone". Ginger is green and short and later powers up becoming stronger and taller to face Goku. However he's still defeated when Goku's shows him his Kamehameha.

A huge Pteradon monster who competes against Goku in the 21st Tenkaichi Budoukai and forfeits the match. He's very powerful, and has many techniques, but Goku counters all of them eventually. In the anime, his character is built up a lot more with a bar-fight scene. (Some drunks make fun of him for ordering milk so he beats the hell out of them.)

After Goku, Pan, and Trunks crash land on a strange planet, the lost little robot, Giru, consumes the Dragon Radar as a food source. Because of this the device is integrated into his system causing him to "become" the Dragon Radar. Prone to malfunction, Giru is often a coward, but will charge into action to protect his friends.

Gogeta is the result of the fusion dance between Goku and Vegeta.

Goku has two sons named Gohan and Goten. Goku is believed to be the most powerful being in the entire universe. His father's name was Bardock and his brother is Raditz.

Gokua is the swordsman of Bojack's team. He is very strong seeing he is equally matched to Trunks. Like Bojack, he is able to power-up, turning his skin a lighter green and increasing his muscle mass. But as soon as Trunks goes Super Saiyan, Gokua ends up with a broken sword and death by a fist straight through his gut.

Goku Junior is Son Goku's great-great grandson, and Pan's grandson. He is seen once at the end of Dragon Ball GT, fighting in the Tenka'ichi Budôkai against a distant descendant of Vegeta's, Vegeta Junior. He also appears in the Dragonball GT TV Special, often incorrectly called the "DBGT Movie" by many fans.

Gotenks is the result of the fusion dance between Goten and Trunks.

Goz and Mez are a pair of ogres who attempt to help Goku find his way back to Snake Way after he falls off. They first squabble over which one of them will get the chance to "play" with the stranger. After a rollicking game of rock, paper, scissors, an attempt to launch Goku back to Snake Way with a catapult, and a wrestling match, they eventually show Goku a way back but he ends up in King Yemma's desk drawer!

The adoptive father of Goku who found him in a space ship when Goku was a baby. Grandpa Gohan was taught martial arts by the Turtle Hermit, Muten-Rôshi and passed on his knowledge to Goku. According to a flashback Goku had when he saw Vegeta transform, Gohan warns him to never look at a full moon and to stay indoors on nights of one - implying that he had already tranformed before and Gohan managed to survive the first time. He followed his advice for sometime until one night (as Goku himself explained to Bulma, Yamcha, Puar and Oolong while they were held in prison at Pilaf's castle) when Goku stepped outside to relieve himself; he then glanced at it, transformed and killed Gohan by stomping on him. After seeing Vegeta transform into a Oozaru in the Saiyan Saga, Goku relizes the truth of what happened to Gohan (the Dub version mistranslates this scene and Goku believes Vegeta killed his Grandfather, the Viz version also has this scene mistranslated, but the FUNimation redub corrects this mistake). From that time on, Goku believed that Gohan's soul was in the four star dragonball.

In Dragon Ball, Gohan comes back from Heaven to fight Goku as Uranai Baba's last fighter.

Great Namek Elder Template:Appears in:DBZ

The elder of Namecks. The Saichourou is a Nameckian who has an almost infinite wisdom and some fantastic techniques. He can read minds, asexually reproduce, awaken hidden powers and even create Dragon Balls. Saichourou created the Nameckian Dragon Balls and modeled the Nameck dragon, Porunga, after an image he saw in a dream. He dies due to Freeza's influence, but is later resurrected for a short amount of time so that the Nameck Dragon Balls can become active again and grant one last wish. He dies permanently on Earth. Just before he dies, he chooses Moori to be his successor as Saichourou.

North Kai's motor-mouth pupil, a little flying cricket named Gregory. He only shows up in the anime and in a couple movies. He's very respectful of his master and always speaks highly of him, but he'll talk trash to anyone he doesn't believe is better than him. He is killed when Cell blows up King Kai's planet.

A short, four-eyed frog-like creature, Guldo is a member of the Ginyu Force. Though clearly the physically weakest member of the force, Guldo had the ability to stop time by holding his breath. Guldo fought Kuririn and Gohan after their powers had been awakened by Guru. Gohan and Kuririn had a huge advantage over Guldo in power and speed, and Guldo could only defend himself by holding his breath to stop time and hide. He would later use his Mind Freeze technique to freeze them in place. After Guldo had finished toying with Gohan and Kuririn, he used his energy to extract a tree from the ground, making it into a spear, and he would have killed them if Vegeta hadn't killed Guldo, decapitating him with a ki blast.

While his power level is never specified, it is clear he is weaker then the rest of the Ginyu Force and may only be kept around because of his unique ability to freeze time around him. His power level could be estimated as anywhere from a few thousand to 20,000.

Also known as the Ox-King, he is father to Chi Chi. He was trained by Muten Roshi with Grandpa Gohan.

H

Heading the list of useless and dismissable characters, this little dragon was Gohan's friend in DBZ Movies 3, 4 and 5 and Garlic Junior Saga. He's a young Dragon who befriends Gohan after he rescues him from a burning forest. Haiyaa Dragon also shows up in several episodes of Dragon Ball Z. His function in Dragon Ball is only to leave ChiChi a more insane person than she already is, therefore sometimes Gohan quits studying to have fun with him. He was renamed Icarus in FUNimation's dub.

Hasky is a master thief who is occasionally employed by the Red Ribbon Army. She has made a career out of doing the impossible. After she accepts a job, her abilities are such that not even the tightest security can stop her from making off with her prize. Once more, she has accepted a lucrative, lofty assignment from Commander Red: steal the Dragon Balls and get rid of Goku!

Haze (Kanji: ???; katakana: ??????? /Ryan Shinron) is a dragon-like villain and the first of the seven Shadow Dragons to appear.

Haze Shenron came into being when Goku (Son Goku in the English manga and Japanese anime) used the Dragon Balls to bring a man named Bora back to life after a mercenary, Tao Paipai, had killed him. When Goku made his wish, Minus Energy increased within the Dragon Balls, particularly within the "Two-Star Ball" (Kanji: ???; katakana: ????????/Ryan Shinchu). When the Dragon Balls became completely corrupted by Minus Energy, the Two Star Ball flew into a lake and transformed into Haze Shenron.

The Wicked Dragon's power was to use his Minus Energy to pollute water and slowly kill all surrounding life. He claimed to be the most powerful of the Wicked Dragons but Rage Sheron claimed to be the strongest as well. Rage Shenron also said that Haze Shenron was really the weakest (the strongest was really Syn Shenron).

High King Niko-Chan Template:Appears in:DB

A creature resembling a green butt with a face and antenna who is stranded in Penguin Village along with his servant. In his spare time he either attempts to conquer the Earth, or simply builds a spaceship in order to get back to his home planet. Though his servant is bright, Niko-chan himself is a bumbling idiot. In the Dragonball manga, he appears briefly giving the victory sign, although his part is bigger in the anime series.

Hildegarn is the enormous monster in DBZ Movie 13, created by a group of black magicians who cast a spell of negative energy on a menacing statue and brought it to life over 1,000 years ago on the planet Konatsu. He is able to undergo a metamorphosis of sorts, and emerge a more powerful creature with the ability to fly. (His second form resembles Lavos from Chrono Trigger to a degree). Hildegarn is only tangible when he's attacking, otherwise, he can instantly teleport away. Goku defeats him with quite possibly his most powerful physical move in the anime story-line, Dragon Fist.

I

Idasa and Ikose's Mother Template:Appears in:DBZ

She is rude and crude to Bulma and Chichi while sitting in the stands at the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. She boasts about how her sons will defeat both of their children, and when both of her children lose pathetically, she absolutely flips out, but Chichi knocks her lights out. She later reveals the location of Trunks' hometown to Babidi!

Ikose's fifteen year-old brother. He's dealt a similar defeat in the Children's Division by Trunks.

The cocky fourteen year-old who faces off against Goten in the Children's Division of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai and gets KO'ed with a mere tap from Goten's fist.

Lucifer's servant who has a vast, and creepy, knowledge of blood.

A very large (and odd-looking) wild boar which Tenshinhan and Chaozu use as part of their con act. They tell the creature to destroy a town, so it does. Tenshinhan and Chaozu then step forward and offer to kill the beast for money. Obviously they pretend to kill it, and they get the townspeople's money. They go from town to town doing the same thing, until Goku messes up their evil plans.

He is one of Uranai Baba's men. Yamcha volunteers to fight next and is surprised to learn that his opponent is an invisible man. Because he can't see him, Yamcha spends most of this fight getting slapped around. Goku nabs Bulma and Muten-Roshi, then he has Kuririn swipe off Bulma's top, thus exposing what she was graciously endowed with. Seeing this, Muten Roshi suffers from his biggest nose bleed ever and covers the invisble man in blood making him possible to see and thus tangible. In the Funimation Dub this was changed: Kruririn sends Goku off on nimbus to get Muten-Roshi and a can of tomato soup. When Goku returns Muten Roshi throws the tomato soup onto the invisible man, making him visible! Now that Yamcha can see him, Invisible Man is easily defeated.

Iruka (Dolphin) Template:Appears in:DB

A friendly dolphin that gives Goku and Chi-Chi directions to Muten-Roshi's house.

A red humanoid being with white hair, Jeice is a member of the Ginyu Force who has a balance between Recoome and Burter's power and speed. He teamed up with Burter to take on Goku after witnessing Goku defeating Recoome with one blow. Proving to be no match for the Saiyan, Jeice fled to get backup. After returning with Captain Ginyu, Jeice fought and was killed by Vegeta. His signature technique is the Crusher Ball, and in the anime he can team up with Burter to perform the Purple Comet Crash (against Goku) and Purple Comet Z Crash (against Tenshinhan on Kaio's planet).

Attacks:

  • Crusher Ball
  • Purple Comet Crash (partnered with Burter)

A pretty-boy competitor in the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai who makes it to the final Battle Royale. He's knocked out instantly by Android 18.

A "villain" from DBZ Movie 11 who wants revenge on his old class-mate Mr. Satan for beating him in martial arts when he was a kid. He funds experiments that create Bio Warriors, including Bio Brolly. On the left Dr. Kori ("Kori Hakase"), a scientist from who assists in the craetion of Bio Brolly.

This is Muten Roshi's disguised name when he enters a tournament. He does this so his students see there are stronger fighters out there and so it encourages his students to train harder than ever before.

K

He is the ruler above the other Kaios, inlcuding Goku's trainer North Kaio. He's portrayed as an aged hipster, wearing jeans and a denim jacket and constantly listening to rock music on his boom box. He's stronger than the other Kaio's, but although he never admits it, he is not in same league as Goku. He doesn't appear in the manga.

The only female Kaio. She rides around on a hover bike, and is always looking for a good challenger. She's also very hard on all of her pupils. An anime only character.

The only other Kaio to appear in the manga, Southern Kaiou is Northern Kaio's rival.

A tiny monocle-wearing Kaio who acts as North Kaio's adversary during the Annoyoichi Budoukai. His greatest student is Pikkon, and he's always boasting about how much stronger Pikkon is than any other Kaio's pupil, particularly to North Kaio. Doesn't appear in the manga.

Dai Kaioshin was the leader of all the other Kaioshins and when he went off to fight Boo he was eaten and turned Buu into the fat version we see at first. Kaioshin's innate goodness made Buu considerably weaker and less violent.

God of all Kaioshins, Dai Kaioshin was a fat, kind god. He is absorbed by Buu in the original fight with the Kaioshins, and because Dai was so good, Buu actually became weaker but a little more under control. His losing power is due to Buu being a creature of pure evil, and any good distorts his nature and nullifies his power, which comes from his evil. Dai Kaioshin is never un-absorbed by Buu.

East Kaioshin (East Supreme Kai) only nearly survived to become the only surviving Kaioshin of Buu's assault. Afterwards, he is typically called only Kaioshin or Supreme Kai, since there are no others to confuse him with.

His loyal companion is Kibito, who is not Kaioshin himself; they fuse together using the Kaio fusion earrings and become Kibitoshin (Kibitokai).

Kaioshin, North Template:Appears in:DBZ

North Kaioshin is one of the Kaio, the rulers of the universe in the anime Dragon Ball Z. He is old in appearance, looking similar to the familiar East Kaioshin, but with a larger head, and a mustache. North Kaioshin was peacefully fishing one day on the Supreme Kai world, when a maniacal monster called Majin Buu attacked it. All four Kaioshins, as well as their leader Dai Kaioshin attacked the monster, but the only survivor was East Kaioshin. North Kaioshin was one of Buu's first victims.

Kaioshin, South Template:Appears in:DBZ

South Kaioshin was resting comfortably one day on the Supreme Kai World, when a manaicle monster called Buu attacked it. All four Kaioshins, as well as their leader Dai Kaioshin attacked the monster, but the only survivor was East Kaioshin. South Kaioshin was the very first victim of Majin Buu's absorption technique, causing Buu to mutate into a massive form known sometimes as Huge Boo. This form makes Goku and Vegeta afraid when they first see it, but then he shrinks back to Kid Buu.

West Kaioshin is one of the Kaio, the rulers of the universe in the anime Dragon Ball Z. West Kaioshin is the only female Kaioshin, similar to the familiar East Kaioshin only with female features and with much longer hair. West Kaioshin was happily dancing one day on the Supreme Kai World, when a maniacal monster called Majin Buu attacked it. All four Kaioshins, as well as their leader Dai Kaioshin attacked the monster, but the only survivor was East Kaioshin. West Kaioshin was one of Buu's first victims

(Elder Kai, Old Kai). He looks kind of like the East Kaioshin, but with an older, wrinkled face.

Rou Dai Kaiôshin is a Kaiô who came out of the Z sword, in which he had been trapped by an old enemy. Gohan releases him during the Majin Buu Saga when he breaks it, while trying to cut a block, which was made of the densest material in the universe (called Kachink). After being released, he agreed to help unlock Gohan's hidden power so the latter could defeat Majin Buu in exchange for a kiss from an Earth woman (Bulma). Rou Dai Kaiôshin is like Muten-Rôshi in manner, but a lot more knowledgeable and powerful.

Long ago he used to be handsome (by his own standards anyway) but an ugly witch came up to him and stole one of his Potara Fusion Earrings and put it on. Rou Dai Kaiôshin was instantly combined with the witch permenantly. While increasing his ugliness, it also increased his power.

In the Fusion Saga he sacrifices his own life so Son Goku can live, and gives him the Potara earrings to fuse with Gohan on Earth.

Rou Dai Kaiôshin always warns the Z Fighters about using the Dragon Balls too often, and in Dragonball GT it appears that he is correct, as seven Shadow Dragons come out of the dragonballs from overuse (build-up of negative energy).

In the Bebi Saga of GT, Rou Dai Kaiôshin helps Goku become much stronger by regrowing his tail, a painful process involving a giant set of pliars. After Goku has his tail back, he is able to turn into a Super Saiyan 4 and defeat Bebi.

One of Mr. Satan's pupils who tries to beat Cell in the Cell Game. Cell doesn't even bother trying to fight him. He sends Karoni flying straight into the air and when he hits the ground, he makes a cartoon-ish hole shaped like him. Karoni is a very vain individual who's very popular with the ladies and prides himself on his swivelling hips.

Kibito is the greatest ally of the East Kaioshin, also known as the Supreme Kai. Kibito has the power of healing, which helps the Z Fighters in many situations. He eventually accidentally permanently fuses with the East Kaioshin to create Kibitoshin.

Kibitoshin, Kibitokai, or Kaiobito is the result of fusion between East Kaiôshin and Kibito via Potara fusion earrings. He becomes very helpful in the Kid Buu Saga.

Gamera is a giant turtle from outerspace with two rockets coming out of his butt that he uses to fly around with. Since Muten Roshi doesn't fly, lost the Nimbus Cloud to Goku, (which he couldn't ride anyway) and sometimes needs to get places fast, he calls in Kid Gamera. It's a little mini version of Gamera that Muten-Roshi can fly around on. Now, the thing about Gamera is that when he flies, he spins around in circles, so does kid Gamera. So when Muten Roshi utilizes this mode of transportation, whenever he gets off, he immeditaly vomits.

A big dude who participates in the Battle Royale at the end of the 25th Tenkaichi Budoukai. He's KO'ed by Mighty Mask (Goten and Trunks). His role is minimal in the manga, but in the anime he has some plot-developing flashbacks.

He is the father of Frieza. He appears briefly at the start of the Trunks Saga along with his now cyborganic son to destroy Earth as revenge for Frieza's near death by the hands of Goku. After Trunks shows up and quickly kills Frieza, King Cold offers Trunks to take Frieza's place. Trunks undoubtedly declines, which doesn't worry King Cold because he thinks that he only succeeded in killing Frieza because he used a sword. With Trunks' sword in his hand, he strikes the mysterious youth but to his surprise, the blade is effortlessly caught. Trunks begins to overpower King Cold and with his other hand, shoots a ki blast which goes right through his chest, sending him flying towards a huge rock. With a hole in his chest, he continues begging for mercy but Trunks quickly finishes him off.

He was in the second form of his species and is arguably the tallest villain in the DBZ universe, albeit not being able to do anything to showcase his power. He is likely best known for his idle complaints of how long it takes Frieza to start and finish a fight.

A competitor in the Tenkaichi Budoukai, famous for his strength, who loses to Goku twice in the preliminary rounds of the 22nd and 23rd Tenkaichi Budoukai's.

The unwilling villain from Dragon Ball Movie 1, "The Legend of Shenron". He is a normal person who became corrupt when he discovered special rubies that made him have a ceasless hunger.

The evil king of the Planet Arlia. He took over rule of the planet by force and made everyone take care of his greedy needs. After Vegeta kills Yeti, he kills the king by shooting a rock through his chest.

This small walrus/dog like animal is the King of the World. He shows up mainly in DB when King Piccolo assaults his castle. He is one of the few people that knows Goku is a hero. He shows up again in DBZ when Nappa and Vegeta attack, during the Cell Games and in DBGT he helps with the evacuation of the citizens of Earth to the Planet Plant.

The king of all Saiyans and the father of Vegeta. He is probably the strongest Saiyan in his time but is definitely seen as the strongest Saiyan. King Vegeta realizes that Frieza has no further use of the Saiyans and no longer needs them around. After trying to attack and kill Frieza, King Vegeta is killed with only two hits.

The giant god of the ogres who decides if people go to Heaven or Hell when they die. He grants Goku permission to travel on the Snake Way to try and reach North Kai's planet.

The villain that looked like a cross between a catfish and an eel in DBZ Movie 2 "The World's Strongest". He can shock victims with his electric tentacles.

A Dr. Slump crossover always had to keep up with the latest fashions. Riding around on a tricycle, She had a very light-hearted and weird personality.

Contender in the last Tenkaichi Budoukai of Dragon Ball Z, Kirano was to face Captain Chicken. We never get to see what he is capable of, and don't know who won the match. Whoever won, lost the next match against Mr. Buu.

File:Marondbz.jpg

Maron first appears in the Garlic Junior Saga as Kuririn's girlfriend. She is very ditsy (always calling Kuririn "Kurin"), uncommitted and out-spoken, and referring to Chi-Chi and Bulma as old ladies which frustrated and angered them. She looks similar to Bulma and many people confuse the two, but both have very different traits, most notably Maron's figure being slightly curvier and Bulma being a staple character to the series, as opposed to Maron only being around for one saga and making a single appearance in the Android Saga. As Kuririn is about to dump her on a beach, she leaves with a guy in a red sports car. During the Android Saga, she shows up at Kame House looking for Kuririn saying that he was the only guy she ever loved. After a while she gets bored and takes off with her boyfriends to never be seen again.

Nail is a Namekian who looks exactly like Piccolo, apart from the clothes. He is described as the lone 'warrior class' of Namekian left. He is the personal body guard to Saichourou (Guru), and is very strong for a Namek.

During the Freeza Saga Nail has to fight Freeza in order to stop him from killing Saichourou and getting the Dragon Balls. Even though Freeza was in his lowest power level, Nail was no match for the tyrant, and even lost an arm (which he regenerated) during the battle. Before Freeza could finish Nail off, Freeza is called away for some reason and Nail is left for dead on the ground.

Piccolo then arrives and finds the disabled Namek. Nail is still able to speak, and asks Piccolo to fuse with him in order to increase his chances against Frieza, and at the same time save his life. Piccolo agrees after some questioning of Nail's motives, and indeed his power level increases dramatically.

Freeza stated that Nail's power was 42,000 using his scouter.

A Sayian warrior, Nappa plays a significant role in Dragon Ball Z, though he is killed very early in the series during the Saiyan Saga. Nappa was originally Vegeta's partner, however when Vegeta saw how he failed to defeat Goku, he killed Nappa himself. Nappa is a very large Saiyan who is bald and not too bright, though he was very strong at the time, with a power level of 4,000. Nappa, along with many Saibamen, help destroy all the Z warriors except for Gohan, Krillin, and Yajirobe before Goku arrives.

In a later episode, Vegeta claims that a pure breed Saiyan's hair style remains unchanged from birth but Nappa was not always bald. He shaves his hair, after which it would never grow back. However, the content of the Bardock movie is not considered canon, outside of the destruction of the planet. One way Nappa could grow hair for a time would be to go Super Saiyan, as any form changes the hairstyle. Form 4 was shown to even regrow Vegeta's hair, which looked like it was ripped off, as does form 3 grow hair that was never there (which is canon). Any changes are reversed once you un-transform.

Krillin, on the other hand, is embarrassed about having to fight such a weak competitor, and he knocks out Punta with a single punch to the stomach with his eyes closed.

A giant robot built by ancient pirates to guard their treasure. He's one nasty sucker too. There was an internet rumor that went around speculating that Pizza was Videl's mother. However, it is never stated in the anime. There is no confirmation of this rumor, but it is most likely that she is not, because neither Pizza, nor any other disciples of Mr. Satan appear in the original manga, they only show up as filler characters for the anime.

If that technique fails, then she strips and tries to shock or embarrass her opponent. Namu is only able to defeat her by closing his eyes and attacking her without, "looking upon her womanly flesh."

A large, human-like member of the Ginyu Force. Recoome is physically the strongest in the force.

Recoome had first fought Vegeta, dominating once Vegeta ran out of energy. He would have destroyed Vegeta with his Eraser Gun attack if Gohan and Kuririn hadn't stepped in to save Vegeta. After Kuririn's surprise attack on him, Recoome had gotten up, and nearly killed him with one kick to the head. Gohan was his next challenger, mainly toying with the boy. Gohan had very little advantage over him, but Recoome's power was too much for him, and he would have died from a broken neck if Goku hadn't arrived in time to give him and Kuririn a senzu bean. Surprisingly, he threw Vegeta one also before fighting Recoome. He had thought Goku was being small and cocky, but Goku ended up felling the giant with one devastating blow. Later, Vegeta stepped in, obliterating the unconscious Recoome after killing Burter.

In the anime, Recoome is later seen on North Kaio's planet, where he and his fellow members of the Ginyu Force battle Yamcha, Tenshinhan, and Chiaotzu. Also known as Guru and Great Elder. He is a Namekian from Planet Namek.

Guru is the oldest remaining Namek in existence and the sole survivor of a cataclysmic climate shift several hundred years prior to the events in the series. All current Nameks alive on the planet are descended from him. (It was revealed that he had at least 108 children, though some may not have still been alive at the time of the Freeza Saga. Piccolo / Kami are descended from a Namek that died in the cataclysm: Kazatz.) He was also in control of the Dragonballs of Planet Namek (though he may not have created them). He had many powers similar to that of Kami on Earth, but it is never stated whether he was the local Kami of Namek.

Note that "Guru" and "Great Elder" are just titles. The actual name of the character is never revealed in the series. After the death of Guru on Earth, the position was passed on to the village elder of the Dragon Clan, Muri.

Morbidly obese in his old age, Guru sits stationary in his chair during the Dragonball Z series. He dies before Freeza is defeated, of a broken heart but not before unlocking the hidden power of Kuririn (Krillin) and Son Gohan. He is briefly brought back to life on Namek and brought to Earth, but dies of old age before the population could be moved again to New Namek.

In the Manga it is revealed that he knew about the Super Saiyans.

Small, humanoid creatures, they were used by the Saiyan's for the purpose of training. During the battle with Nappa, six were grown in the Earth's soil to attack the defending Z Fighters. The English manga calles them "Cultivars". One was killed by Vegeta after failing to defeat Tenshinhan, another had self-destructed on Yamcha, killing him, three were killed by Kuririn's raining energy blasts, and the remaining one was killed by Piccolo after it was weakened by Kuririn's energy blast. They later appeared in Dragon Ball GT, from Hell.

Emperor Pilaf's ninja cronie. He and Mai usually work together to carry out the work of their vertically challenged and short tempered Emperor. He's one of the first villains in the Dragon Ball series, but perhaps villain is too strong a word. He's almost comic relief. Also known as Soba.

Shusugoro is Sugoro's son and partner in crime. Shusugoro transforms his body into the very dice that Goku uses to move himself along the Sugoroku gameboard. As long as the father and son control the game, Goku stands no chance of winning and saving his life.

One of Garlic Junior's minions in the anime. He is powerful, and one of the last characters to die in the Saga. Like Garlic Jr., he receives a big dose of power when the Makyo-sei, or Devil Star Planet (Makyo Star) nears Earth.

Once a normal, though weak human, he fought agaist Hercule and lost in the previous World Tournament. Babidi took control of his mind along with Yamu in the Buu Saga. Spopovitch was then turned into a crazy psycho. He was then sent by Babidi to collect energy at the 25th World Tournament. An inhabitant of Penguin Village, he looks like a short, pudgy Clark Kent who can change into his alter ego "Suppa Man" by running into a telephone booth and putting on a Superman outfit. He is really just an average human with average strength, but he claims to have super powers which he gains by eating pickled plums. He meets General Blue, who orders him to step out of his car, the man refuses and promptly runs into a nearby telephone booth and changes into "Suppa Man". He then steps out and declares that he will not give up his car to any source of evil. General Blue calmly goes to the telephone booth, picks it up and crushes it in his hands. Suppa Man then gladly gives Blue his car and even gives him directions to the nearest airport. As Blue drives away, "Suppa Man" stands triumphant, declaring that he has made that particular place of ground that he's standing on a safer place.

Tao is responsible for the death of General Blue, whom he kills with only his tongue. He is sent by the Red Ribbon Army to kill Goku and retrieve the Dragon Balls, but Goku defeats him, seemingly killing Tao with his own grenade. However, Tao is rebuilt as a cyborg by his older brother, and competes in the 23rd world tournament, brutally defeating Chiaotzu. He is beaten by Tenshinhan in the next fight.

In the anime, Tao makes a later appearance in Dragon Ball Z during the Cell Saga as a henchman for a rich coward who is forcing a village to build a dome to protect him from Cell. He is stopped by Son Gohan.

Tao Pai Pai has been known by a number of names in the various English versions of the series. He is called "General Tao Pei" in the abortive late-1980's Dragon Ball anime dub by Harmony Gold, "Taopaipai" (all one word) in the Viz adaptation of the manga, "General Tao" in the FUNimation dub of Dragon Ball Z, and "Mercenary Tao" in FUNimation's later dub of the Dragon Ball anime.

Toteppo is a fictional character from the Dragonball Z TV special,Bardock: The Father of Goku, a movie spinoff from the anime tv series, Dragon Ball Z. He is a large, balding Saiyan. His name from the English anime version of Dragonball Z is Borgos. The pun from his name is a takeoff from the vegetable, potato.

Like the rest of the Saiyan race Toteppo works as one of Frieza's soldiers which are sent out to various planets to destroy their inhabitants so that he could rule over them. Toteppo works as one of the members of a group of Saiyan mercenaries led by Goku's father, Bardock. Toteppo's personality can be described to be silent and hungry most of the time since he only says a few words throughout the TV special and is sometimes seen eating a piece of meat or cake in his hand.

After Bardock is attacked by one of the last surviving members of Kanassa, a planet that he and his crew destroy while in their transformation state his crew sends him back to their homeworld so that he could recover thoroughly. After hearing that he has some possible damage in his brainwave patterns from the attack, Toteppo and the other Saiyans decided to leave to start off on their next assignment without him.

As soon as they reach their destination, Planet Meat, they immediately kill off all of the planet's natives. But only minutes before they could celebrate their victory Toteppo and the rest of the crew are attacked and killed by some of Frieza's elite-class warriors, including Dodoria. Tullece, like many Saiyans, had a craving for power. Having heard of the Saiyan Goku on planet Earth, he goes to investigate and plant the Tree of Might. Tullece's men are defeated easily and even his general Almond is destroyed. After eating some fruit from the tree, Tullece becomes super-charged, and defeats all the Z fighters, including Goku. While Piccolo served as a distraction, Goku formed a massive spirit bomb which then destroyed the tree and Tullece.

Tullece also made a second appearance in the video game/movie "Plot To Destroy the Saiya-jin!". This movie is considered even less canon than the other movies as it is based on a game and not produced by Toei. [2]

When she sees his Super Saiyan abilities at work, she believes that he may be an angel.

Vegeta was the Saiyan who came to Earth with his guard, Nappa, so he could find the Dragon Balls and wish for immortality. Goku fought him, but at the end Goku lost. Then Yajarobe sliced Vegeta's tail off; he became badly hurt. Next he went to his space pod and quickly escaped back to planet Furiza to recover.

Vegeta Junior is a distant descendant of Vegeta, seen once at the end of the television series Dragonball GT. In this appearance, he fights in the Tenka'ichi Budôkai against Son Goku's great-great-great-great grandson, Goku Junior.

Note that there is some doubt as to his lineage: he could be descended from either Trunks or Bra, with no evidence providing a substantial case for either. It is also unknown exactly how many generations separate him from his namesake, but it is probably about the same as the distance between Goku and Goku Junior. His mother looks very much like Bulma.

Zarbon

Zarbon is a very handsome alien with light-blue skin and long green hair, and wears jewelry and alien clothing garb. He is very attractive and he is also the 'right-hand man' of Frieza as well as Frieza's most powerful henchman, being the strongest warrior in all of Frieza's army of millions. He warned Frieza of the Saiyan threat, advising him to annihilate the entire Saiyan planet. He has the power to undergo a transformation, which makes him considerably stronger, but it also makes him much uglier. Since Zarbon is a lover of beauty, he chooses to transform only when absolutely necessary. He has a British accent in the English dub.

File:Zarbonform.jpg
Zarbon

Zarbon delivers the phrase "Beauty is only skin deep" before changing into a monstrous reptilian beast. During his brutal battle with Vegeta, he is forced to transform into a more powerful and hideous appearance in order to win. He performs multiple roundhouse kicks and headbutts, completely tormenting Vegeta and obliterating him. Zarbon's battle with Vegeta is one of the most brutal in all of DBZ history. After delivering a well-placed piledriver sending Vegeta head-first into the ground, Zarbon returns to Frieza to report his victory. Afterwards, he makes the mistake of healing Vegeta in order to obtain information, and since Saiyans become more powerful after every battle, Vegeta gains the upper hand in their second battle. Vegeta smashes his arm clean through Zarbon's stomach and right through his backside, killing him. Zarbon appeared again in Dragon Ball GT when he escaped from Hell along with all the other villains, although his major role was in Dragon Ball Z. His most recent appearance was in the Playstation 2 game Budokai Tenkaichi.
