Big Brother Brasil (or BBB be-be-beh) is a Brazilian version of the reality show Big Brother and is broadcasted on Rede Globo (TV Globo). It was first aired on January 29, 2002 as Big Brother Brasil 1. The host of the program is Pedro Bial (b. in March 29, 1958 in Rio de Janeiro). It is currently on the level of Big Brother Brasil 6. The website of the show, Globo.com and pay-per-view offers coverage 24 hours a day. Like it or not, ratings were kept higher during the first season.

Big Brother 1

The first portion aired on January 20, 2002. It was hosted by Pedro Bial and Marisa Orth who later quit and did not host the second portion. The show lasted 64 days and ended on April 2, 2002 and brought in record number of audiences and viewers.

Big Brother Brasil 2

The second portion or second season began one and a half month after the first season on May 14, 2002 and was hosted by Pedro Bial. The house improved a bit in order to keep the number of viewers the same as the first season. The second season ended on July 23, 2002 and lasted for 71 days.

Big Brother Brasil 3

The third season of BBB began on January 14, 2003 and caused controversy, participants include the former Miss Brazil. According to Rules, married people were not allowed in the reality show which included Miss Brazil which she alleged that she was single. Dilson left Big Brother without a vote due to the argument with the former Miss Brazil and Harry later Dilson replaced on February 26. The third season lasted 78 days and ended on April 1, 2003 and the winner was Dhomini.

Big Brother Brasil 4

The fourth season of Big Brother ran from January 13 to April 6, 2004 and lasted for 85 days, the longest. Ratings were a little higher.
