Gordon Kennedy (musician)
Gordon Kennedy (born ????) is a renowned Christian singer, songwriter, producer, and session guitarist. He has contributed with several famous artists like Eric Clapton, Garth Brooks, Jewel, Kenny Loggins and countless others. The Grammy-winning song from Clapton, "Change the World", was co-written by him, with Tommy Simms and Wayne Kirkpatrick. The song was included in the soundtrack for John Travolta's film, Phenomenom.
He was also the guitarist of Christian rock band White Heart from 1985 to 1989. He studied with fellow musician and guitarist, Dann Huff, with whom he joined the band. He also worked in the project Dogs of Peace together with Jimmie Lee Sloas.
Kennedy is the son of guitarist John Glenn Kennedy, who played for artists of the caliber of Roy Orbison, Elvis Presley, Bob Dylan and others. Growing up in this environment, he always leaned towards playing guitar, but he got serious about it when he was 15, and his dad gave him a Fender Telecaster.
