Anahí being interviewed by La Oreja regarding her anorexia

Being that Anahí is a role model to many young girls, and boys for that matter, many parents have found her public struggle with anorexia a negative influence. The first time that she publicly admitted her struggle with anorexia, she appeared in El Show de Cristina, trying to make young people see the negative consequences that anorexia brought about; and yet, after having surpassed anorexia and publicaly warnning people about the consequences in the year of 2001, she managed to fall under the influence of anorexia once again in the year of 2004. For this reason, many parents have tried to ban their children from seeing or buying anything having to do with her, stating that her negative influence and image will bring about many consequences in their children. Despite all of the polemic issues that have been linked to her, she has managed to have a successful career, both in acting and singing.
