Antonio R. Damasio (M.D., Ph.D.) teaches Neurology at University of Iowa College of Medicine. He is also Head of the Department of Neurology at this university.

He is the author of The feeling of what happens, Looking for Spinoza and Descartes' Error.

He is married to Hanna Damasio.
