A stub on Wikipedia is a very short article, generally of one paragraph or less. Most people hate stubs, even though they are a probably a necessary evil: many excellent Wikipedia articles started out as stubs.

Here are tips on how to write a good stub.

If you can't think of anything better to do, you can:

  • search for stub articles and then list them here,
  • better yet – fix one by adding more detail, or
  • go through this list and remove links to articles that are no longer very short.

See also: Wikipedia:Most wanted stubs.

Feel free to add any you find or create, or delete the ones that have been fixed.

This list generally follows the following format:

Letter

  • Persons (by family name), groups of persons, and companies
  • Places and times
  • Things, ideas, and not-yet-categorized stubs
